He was actually the final boss, because the full Co-op mode had a twist ending where you fought the other player as the final boss... The NES version adapted the ending for it's single player mode.

Notice at 2:00 how the theme music came on...that got me pumped up when I was playing this co op in the arcade and yes the elbows are your best weapon to defeat your partner since you both have to fight at the end. Awesome game!

In the snakc bar of the viullage where i live, in the sundays there was always a huge line to play this game. One it got to the insane number of 75 credits, everybody had to wait long to play. It started around 2 pm and ended around 10 pm.

can any1 remembr game dat was a bit like chelnov but entirely different in theme, a very small sized character clothed in red, keeps running through the dungeons, it had i think 30 levels, aevery level had a clear time of 80 sec and if u could not clear it before dat, a redhead monster would come(monster had no legs or body, just a face or head), also in the game u would encounter some monkeys, that would sit one atop another and fill vertical length of screen, used to play that in early 90s
