I got this camera for less than $200 so i didn't feel bad about it. I personally think its a good upgrade for myself for which I had the Fuji S2500HD before I got this.

DLSR DSLR DLSR... HS10 is not a DSLR Class camera. Compare an apple with an apple!
The Value of it? (price factor is always the main factor) What you pay is what you can OR is it worth to pay extra for those trade off that not everyone really need it?
What car do you drive? If compact PTS is compact car, HS10 is like a Honda Accord, DSLR is BMW & Benz. Do you think Many peoples really can't live with all the trade off for owning a compact car?
dude this guy SUCKS! i have this camera and i can tell you he knows NOTHING!!!! this is a brilliant ADVANCED POINT AND SHOOT, not DSLR. you pictures are crap cause u didnt take ur pictures properly. i have amazing pictures with this camera, and anyone who says that they get bad images, they cant use a digital camera. simplez
In slide show mode, can this camera showing video (motion picture)? usually the camera only shows still picture in the slide show, not video .......(-_-)

why use a memory card of class 6 or above i just would like to know i have the camera and the pics come out blur all the time. Maybe it's my settings?
@mich229 yes, your shutterspeed is not set fast enough. The memory card needs to be above class 6 to increase the speed. Any memory card will do to be honest, as long as you arent taking HD video. I siggest you read the manual and watch a few photography tutorials; and I'm sure you will get brilliant results from your camera. My HS10 takes spectacular phtotos. Good luck!

bought it but not happy.
~internal memory is small, has to rely on memory card which is slow especially when too many pix loaded.
~focus is not smart enough and fast enough as real DSLR, constatn lost precious moment because of it.
~Image quality is not as per advertised. Still see noises and grains.
Pro:
I love the zoom, very convenience and DSLR feel.
The slow motion capture in video.

@utubmania2009 no camera has a big internal memory. youre supposed to use a memory card of class 6 or above.
