  • Pretty cool. Every time I watch Takamatsu I get inspired. Thanks for putting it up.

  • some weeks ago i started bo with my teacher and we did what they in 6:00

it's awesome to see 2 great masters having the same relationship as every other teacher-pupil !!! it makes me feel that anyone can learn a lot and become a master if he work hard (i'm not talking only for ninjutsu, but also for other aspects of life!)

  • I have to bow in respect to you for uploading this video. This is truly a treasure to see.

    Shiken Harimitsu Daikomyo

  • Awesome share, Thanks !

  • That is great!

  • Beautiful...

  • this is the true training

  • Best bo and jo teaching material anywhere - I'm planning to study this really closely. Takamatsu sensei looked like a wonderful person, Hatsumi sensei clearly had great affection for him.

  • can anyone tell me what year this was filmed please.

  • domo arigato!

  • Thanks for the video :-)

  • I do not do Bujinkan or other styles that are descended or influenced by Takamatsu Sensei.Yet I feel a great affinity to the koryu training I udergo, there is a beauty to watching a student and teacher. And to his movements and disposition, you can see mastery in posture and facial expression, not just speed or skill.I am glad to have seen this clip.

  • Its also interesting to see Hatsumi sensei as a pupil :) to see that he did the same misteakes as we are doing and stuf... Really nice, and Hatsumis commentary is nice also, it brought smile to my face couple of times :)

Takamatsu is just amazing, when he was doing kata with the bo alone at full speed, it was great, just like windmill :).

Thanks for the video, really thanks a lot.

  • thanks for sharing this with us.

    Ninpo Ikkan!

  • Takamatsu does look gentle as a teacher.. but if you pay close attention, he was harsh on his student.. but hey... it was Takamatsu... he could do anything he wanted..

  • Back in the days, all reputed masters were like that, and they will tell you that is the way it should be taught.

  • I hated learning with long weapons. After seeing this I feel a bit more excited though. Takamatsu Soke seems like such a nice teacher, I wish mine was more forgiving.

  • The spirit of Takamatsu Soke lives on. He also went by the name Jutaro. THis is a very good video. Thank you for uploading it.^^

  • I actually took a documentary about him and spliced together all the staff weapons bits.

  • You made it very nice. You should send a copy of this to the bujinkan. Hatsumi soke would be delighted.

  • *****! Thanks for sharing this.

  • Thank you for giving honor to Takamatsu by sharing this with the world for all to learn from and enjoy. I always see deeper into Budo each time I watch his taijutsu.

  • <3 I really would love to meet a man like Takamatsu. So gentle and full of wisdom with such amazing skill and ability.

  • so gentle they called him the Mongolian tiger

  • haha, gentleness hiding a deadly power, just like nature

  • I agree

Amazing how smooth , fluid & lite he moves-even at such an advanced age...

  • Wonderful job, don´t ever delete it, please.

  • Yeah, it's kind of cool to see what he does, glad you enjoyed it, I'm not sure why it is so small, I should try a second time, but will leave this up.
