In real life (wild) the outcome of an individual fight will depend on a variety of different circumstances. In the wild, for instance, a tiger will obviously have to keep their distance from lions, because they cooperate in prides. This vid was obviously made by someone who has a bias point of view! Compile a vid of the shots the tiger got in, and then cutting the scenes where the lion gets a few. In real life (wild) the outcome of an individual fight will depend on a variety of different circumstances. In the wild, for instance, a tiger will obviously have to keep their distance from lions, because they cooperate in prides. It's not real, in my opinion, if us humans just through them in a cage to fight to the death

what people have ot realize is that the lion is built for power the tiger is built for speed blow for blow the lion would win, however since the tiger is faster it get's its hits in quicker that's all. In thier natrual habitat the tiger has to fight with bears and other jungle creatures so the tiger has to kill its prey fast and eat fast, the lion is top dog so to speak so they don't really have ot be fast just time their kill right.

@Yoshioriginal yes but 90% of the time the bear would win. Yes tigers have strong jaws and insanely strong arms which makes then king of the big cats but they dont have very thick skulls like a bear. A bear has the power to crush a tiger skull. Unless the tiger could quickly go for the bears neck it wont stand a chance.

@Yoshioriginal The Romans used to make these animals fight rather than gladiators various animals would be pitted to fight each other (e.g. bulls and bears, lions and elephant etc.). There are records of bears being made to fight lions. The lions would always put up a good fight at first but speed was never enough. Bears on average are 2-3 times the weight of a lion or tiger. A pack of lions may win but a bear would win almost every time one on one.

@no1diamondgeezer Lions are smaller and weaker than tigers. tigers can catch the things it takes 5 lions to catch by them self. tigers are stronger than bears too. they measure animal strength by how much more than there body weight can be lifted and tigers lift about 12x their own and tigers are big heavy animals bears only lift about 8x their own.

me thinks that people are full of it when they try to proclaim that tigers are stronger or capable of killing lions. studies show that tigers are more aggressive, but that could in part be that they are more solo in nature. lions are pack animals in general, and live in more oppressively arid climates.
i am not saying lions are stronger or whatever. all im saying is that no one can say for sure. i think they are very comparable in general.
