In any case, if realism is what is sought here, then just make 30 round mags for AEG's, and maybe a new model with a more realistic fire rate. Gas is terrible, not consistent, and an all around pain in the wallets ass. Charge a battery, good to go for hours. just sayin.

@joe735 MilSim Mags (imho) have bad realism, as with 1 BB per real Projectile, your hit ratio is extremely reduced. In the future, i will mod my guns to have a 4 rd burst and Auto, and 120 Round mags. The 4 rd burst is semi for me, as 4 BBs come much closer to realism for 1 projectile in Real Steel, as 4 BBs can actually pass through a little thicker bushes and grass, and will increase hit ratio

@M4DPWN3R and try hitting a guy shooting a consistent stream of bbs at 30 RPS. You can never get a stream with any gas gun, the changing temp of the hopup rubber messes it all up. On top of that whenever I hear someone shooting off a GBBR in a woodland skirmish, I fire a short burst were I hear the "pop pop pop" and I hit him through bushes almost all the time. They are so unpractical for games. As for movies or plinking, sure a GBBR is fun if it works.....

well WE is like systema, Its not as good but its one of those "realistic" airsoft company. I havnt had much EXP. with KJW but honestly. I would drop those 2 companies and get a KWA. KWA's are cheaper then WE's and possibly KJW's and you can buy it shooting 420+ with .20's + lipo. So you can get a longer and tighter bore barrel & optic + any other attachments (Peck Box, M203, grip, Lazer, flashlight, etc...) So Get a KWA, my friend has had his KWA for 4 years and it still works like new.

Also, FPS isn't the only aspect that makes a "good" gun, especially when its over most field's limits.

Not a fan of WE stuff, had lots of bad experiences and their current stuff isn't a whole lot more better. KJW is good to go right out of the box but they lack a lot of third party support. Inokatsu is the creme de la creme but they are extremely pricey. WA Manga/G&P seems to be by far the best for price over performance with lots of aftermarket components made specifically for WA/G&P. JG and AGM are cheap China clones of the Manga system.

It stops the 'path of least resistance' causing you to stop the muzzle from swaying to either side during recoil. You grip high so as to minimise the up and down motion during recoil.
