This match remind me of that night...it was a super-match, but unfortunately Italy had been defeated by Holland.

Olympic games have always been bewitched for the Italian team (sob!)

For everyone who dares to compare Brazil Italy Holland and so on..do you really think that some more gold medals could describe the best team of all times?

@bmario85....As a matter of fact that golden generation of Italian Volleyball fail to win an olympic title...the Brazilian teams of the 2000`s era won almost anything...world leagues, world cups, world championship (twice 2.002 and 2.006) and of course the olympic games of Athens 2.004...and notice that the final was casually against Italy (3-1)....after they continue winning despite of their loss in the final of the OG in Beijing to the US, but if they can win the WCH in Rome sunday...then...

the strength of the Netherlands wasn't the strength of individuals, it was the better team that won. Although van der goor, blange and zwerver were some of the best players in the history of volleyball

The Brazil team that won everything between 2001 and 2007 has the same players who used to lose to this Italian Team. Things changed after Bernardinho's arrival but the players were exactly the same. Brazil won much more important titles between 2001 and 2007 than this Italian Team.
