I totally agree with you in many anime including this one. However i would be dissapointed if they didnt make a second season because they left the last episode sort of as a cliff hanger. So i guess we have whoever wrote the ending (like the last 20 secs of the last ep) to blame for that.

The series HAS a definite ending, and a promise-hint of new days to come for those who lived it. But to continue with the series (yes 12 episodes was short) would be a disservice to the the creators and writers and what they wanted for this show.

Please, accept what they offered and enjoy the time spent with the characters. It is time for all of them... to move on...

@SoundJudgment Making more would defeat the purpose of the ending, and would make it all the less powerful. It made me cry mainly tears in realization, they weren't dead: but thing could never be the same, its like a graduation of a class: that same class will never exist for you or your friends, you will never know the same experience ever again yet better things are in tow. Truly a masterfully done ending that truly made me both incredibly happy and incredibly sad to see it all end.

@weidiocrow Ah yes, weidiocrow.. As viewers we come to expect there to be 'extra' episodes of these wonderful series. And many times they do make extra material. I just feel this is one series where this is not necessary. Would I be happy if they did make more? Yes! Would I be angry if they decide not to? I would not be. They have given us all a wonderful story as it is. Clannad was different. It had many characters who had more to tell and do. But 'Angel Beats' was in a 'heaven all its own. ;)

@SoundJudgment This is very true, the emotion, the message, everything they wanted to convey, they did even if it was a short time. They kept it short and without fillers giving us nothing but pure excellence... IMO. (Excluding their extra episodes... which were fun as hell to watch lol).

@SoundJudgment They could make a prequel, as they're already doing it with the manga. How SSS was formed and the adventures they went through before Otonashi came into the story. Of course, they could make a Life-after-the-Afterlife story, too, but I think they should just leave that alone.

@stuntman45666 As much as I hate to burst your bubbles and everyone else's, there's no evidence that there will be a second season. Now don't get me wrong, I very much feel the same way you do. I do want a second season of Angel Beats!, but even if a second season did come out, what exactly is the plot going to be about? I'm not too sure if I'll stick around if it's the same as the first season (plot wise). This anime was intended to be an original anime series, so the chances are extremely low.
