@xXRoyaltyXx7 So what Sedan are you talking about? Yeah it must be a REAL car, much better and expensive than a Honda. Fucking asswipe trying to look like you know anything about cars... Honda is reliable and yes it's not expensive, it's for smart starters... dumbfuck.
the 1996-2000 Honda Civic was assemled in Swindon, England Suzuka, Japan East Liberty, Ohio, United States Alliston, Ontario, Canada Lahore, Pakistan Aragua, Venezuela Sumaré, Brasil Hsinchu, Taiwan Nelson, New Zealand Gebze, Turkey
this isnt a proper civic its a shite one made in england by rover if u look at the 1998 rover 416 u will see its almost exactly the same car just the badges are changed even the engine is the same.
@rocknrollneverdied These were not made by rover. Honda produced this civic BEFORE rover began production of the 400 series. The honda civic was built by honda, on the honda production line (uk), using honda parts. Rover built the 400 at longbridge, using rover parts, and only used certain honda parts like brakes etc on the rover. Honda also produced the aerodeck (estate/tourer) version, and rover opted not to make an estate version. Every part of the civic is stamped "honda"
@rocknrollneverdied Sorry, Rover has K-series engines in 400-series and Honda used their own engines (B and D-series. Only Diesel engine was K-series rover because honda didn't have own Diesel engine in 90's. And also basic design in 400-series rover is based older Honda Concerto if i'm not mistaken.
Doors and Interior parts are mainly only parts which can be swapped between honda civic and rover 416, also some pieces in suspension but not all.
@Karjis Honda and Rover went into partnership during the 80s/90s. They each owned 40% of each company IIRC. So they worked on designs and shared ideas between themselves. This was supposed to help Hondas market share in the UK and you are right they both used their own engines, however practically all of the others parts are identical. When Rover went into administration the 45/400 was never acquired by the Chinese as Honda still owned the rights to the design and the machinery in Longbridge.
These older civics weren't built to withstand any type of crash. they were very reliable and fun cars to drive but I sure wouldnt want to be in one in a t-bone car accident. Or any wreck for that matter
They did! I don´t know the correct name of the 5 door model (or it was indeed Civic 5d?!), but there was also an estate version of it, just google for "Civic Aerodeck". Don´t know if it was sold outside Europe, but it was quite identical to the Rover 400-series.

Yeah, that is deffinately a honda civic, and not an accord. Looking at the trim level, probably an MB2.

@rocknrollneverdied
You obviously know nothing about Hnodas!
The engines are not the same! The rover cars used (genereally) the K Series engines, where as the Honda's use real engines!

@rocknrollneverdied
your 100% wrong man
the engines are hondas own
and the came with a slightly de tuned version of the integra type r engine (b18c4 170bhp)

it is actually a civic, but not aerodeck.
aerodeck is a wagon this is just a hatch, usually
called MA or MB (according to vin part that encodes body type - MA8-9 for original civic MB1 etc. for restyle - as on video and MC for wagon)
btw i have ma9 hatch ))

duhabcdef 2 years ago
@duhabcdef No such thing as a 4dr hatch, it's 5dr, and oh yes, they most certainly did make a 5dr version.

I wonder how fast the civic was going. My ins. co. retreived the airbags "black box" and estimated my crash in my 00 civic was extimated at 42 mph.
