  • what is flying around at 29 seconds some rocket flys by!

  • @afroeyeball it was a mouse. You can see it in the top right corner

  • I MUST ADMIT(and i know im not alone in saying this) this video was the biggest effing wast of time! it says" impact video" no visible impact was seen. all of thier fancy freakin cameras and state of the art equipment to render shytty quality video and no visuals from one of thier nearby satelites? this is all bull shyt! all of a sudden we want to hit the moon? shyt hits the moon all day, track it and observe it. if u can track a tennis ball sized object in earths orbit you can do that! bullshuk

  • Hey, we don't see any ruins or alien buildings it was to dark and the sun was beaming so we should see something what are they hiding?...

    CG

  • Sorry guys, i don't speak english good enough...

    So... I want to say:

Estuve despierto, esperando el tan esperado evento...

Sin embargo nunca ví nada, salvo animaciones en 3D...

Y no he sabido nada acerca de los resultados.

A final de cuentas: Para mí lo raro sería el que no hubiesen hallado agua en la Luna...

Acaso no existe una teoría que sostiene el hecho de que los cometas trajeron agua a la Tierra???

    Que alguien me ilumine!!!

  • worse than watching wavelength (1967)

  • ....

  • it didnt even show the rocket impact wth

  • Ok then wats the point of bombing the moon? Isn't it to bomb moon and see if water exist there and make a terraform or something? Cuz if they did it to know if life exist on earth then it was a stupid plan since moon was originally from earth......

  • Their experiements are much more complicated then you think. They're not simply saying "oh look water" like you think. There is a lot more involved. Oh, and they didn't bomb it, they crashed a rocket into it. And we can't terraform the moon, it has no magnetic field or atmosphere to begin with, so anything created will die.

  • I dint say its not complicated. And as far as i know, moon was originally part of earth so "lifeforms" or some water might be encased in the moon.

And when i said they Bomb it, wat i mean is they crashed a rocket into it so pshhh.

You can creat a freaking magnetic field and an atmosphere using our techs today. We basically know wat a magnetic field is and an atmosphere so they can do it

  • and its dumb for u to think that when i said build a terraform in the moon, is like plant on the moon surfaced.

of course they have to build some sort of building or a space station in the moon

  • No, you cannot create a magnetic field. lol.

  • not the exact magnetic field that earth has. An artificial magnetic field or something.

And isnt the magnetic field protects us from dangerous forces in the outer space like the solar storms and all?

And i dont see the use of magnetic field on having a terraform.

  • It has a very big use, it basically prevents the atmosphere from being stripped off the planet. If ours wasn't here, there would be no life on earth. Unfortunately we can't create a magnetic field, we'd have to find a planet with one already that would protect the planet from being turned into a sandy/rocky land. Although we could still create "bases" on the moon, but they would have to be thick due to the amount of radiation that hits the moon

  • you might be true

but i believed that NASA has the power and money to have a radiation proof thing that can protect things from the radiation.

all in all, NASA's plan to "bomb" moon was pointless and a complete waste of money.

just think about this >>> if they build some kind of an artificial base in the moon, then they can study moon not just if moon has water but all about moon too

  • The "bombing" the moon is the worst choice of words and was propagated in ignorance. considering the findings, the mission was the most successful study of moon water content in some time.

  • And the gravity is too low to hold the atmosphere. And the solar wind too strong.

  • Probably the most exciting video I've ever seen in my life.

  • Didnt know their were Taliban on the moon. And thats Jerry Garcia in the control centre.

  • ...just another lie....

  • 2012, the moon will crack & crash to the earth..billions of years old bateria from the moons water will cause a outbreak ,a disease from outerspace with no cure on earth...thanks nasa

  • What a disappointment...ten minutes of watching this thing slowly approach the moon...and then...nothing.

  • What impact??? i didn't c any impact that's prob cause there wasn't one.. they just said there was.. just another lie to the people and a wast of time... ohh welll

  • Although we have the technology to send ships to the moon we have somehow lost the ability to video large impacts and 6 mile plumes..

Love to know what those folks are applauding... Is there an applause sign?

    Nice job!

  • where? i can't see the impact :S

  • this plan to bomb the moon is stupid and is just a waste of taxpayers money. i mean cmon now, the probability of H20 to be in the the moon is slim to none. First of all, how did they know there is ice? Second of all, after they find water then wat? moon is like a desert with no life on it. so stop wasting money on the moon NASA and concentrate on mars or something. This is ridiculous

  • If there's water we can terraform the moon and make moon bases. Then you can live on the moon and be able to jump really high.

Who doesn't want to jump really high? Don't be a square.

  • sir, i understand what ur trying to say. But why do we go to moon when there are lots of water here on earth? i mean can we just bring some up there or something. And yeah y try having a moon base now? i mean we have enough technologies in the past to make one right?

Second of all, why just NASA and why our money? And there are other conventional ways of have a moon base up there. its all about reusing resources that we can recycle like water and all.

  • A mission for the same on Mars would definitely cost waaaaay more. What do you mean bring some up there? That alone would cost more than what they are trying to do.NASA isn't the only company trying to accomplish this so don't say why just NASA and why your money. This is the exact same as the Space Race, just want to be the first to colonize the moon now.Yousay this is a waste of tax payers money, are you also complaining about things on earth that spend more that accomplish nothing?like war?

  • ok u said they know more about me. well we can bring some up there by freezing it or something.

And why are we talking about war now? That i way out of line my man. and id rather spent a lot of money on stuff that all people can use.

They said that humans might be able to live on mars. Why choose a place where its all dead and rock and dust? I have never heard of any countries trying to defeat USA right now. Stop living in the past man. im not saying that u should forget about the past.

  • um people live in the middle of the dessert whats the differnce

  • every dessert has its own unique oasis and you can survive in the desert here on earth unlike moon

  • **continuation

wat im saying is that the so called space race between USA and the Russians was over when the cold war was over. Im just rationalizing and taking other alternatives into a consideration.

And ohh about the war....... well i admit the USA government did some stupid things against the people but if it werent for the attack, there is a chance that we are all dead. its wat they said preventing something to happen is way better than finding a "cure" for it

  • it would be very expensive to carry the water up.

  • it might be expensive but its worth it. i dont like the idea of spending a lot of man power and money in which even NASA have no idea if water exist in there.

Moon doesnt have any atmosphere and even do they will fine water over there, is it safe to drink?

and idk about brining water there in a form of ice would be that expensive

  • haha safe to drink ? xD , if they find a water on the moon the not gonna drink it .

  • Pretty sure they know more about it than you.

  • they probably do, but base on what i know, they were wrong on one thing about having a pummel of dust after the thing hit moon. did it happen? it might, but not to the extent of their expectations

  • First... theres ice in all over the moon... but in very small quantities... they bombed a crater thats just in perfect conditions for having water in them... they used sensors and found hidroxil...

They want the water to be used in future moon bases... reseach before u talk about something you don't know

  • ok if they know there is ice then y are they still saying that "we will bomb moon to figure out if there is water". And i am well aware that they are planning to made a base. their plan is just not convenient. I mean there are other ways to make a base up there

  • transport water from here to the moon wold be MUCH more expensive than mining water from there...

If you know another way of get water there... tell me

  • how can that be expensive i mean cmon u could tweak the water compound. break the compound to elements

and mining there might not be expensive but pls do think that they will not just do one trip, but two or more trips back to moon to really clarify it. and drill the moon now that one is a bad idea. too many unknown variables. for example how hard really is the moon? wat type of drill to use? is there really water there? IS IT WORTH IT

  • Because of weight. Thats how. And you use what is called sublimation. Applying heat to the sample and collecting the water as it separates. It is quite simple and proven effective. It is how they collect water from soil in the desert. So yes it is worth it. Especially for long duration stay on the moon and on to Mars.

  • One question: If the moon is not oxygen, it is assumed that no water?

  • there are oxydes and hydroxyl on moon's surface... hydroxyl + H(from the sun) equals water...

  • yay bomb the moon! ;)

  • 3rd

  • Great coverage! I watched the whole thing thru my telescope at home and was overwhelmed by the beauty of our universe!
