That's because his Taylor 714-CE has amazing tone and great electronics. His double neck has a much different sound and an inferior electronics system. The best of both worlds would be a double neck Taylor guitar with the Expression system but that's not possible.

He is one of the best guitarists I have seen before. I used to go watch him every Wednesday night at a local coffee shop in Eugene, becuase he played there every week. I enjoy his style!

Yesterday I got a chance to play this model of guitar and let me tell you there's no wonder he sounds fantastic: that is one of the single best guitars for tapping I have ever played on. It's a Taylor (I forget the model number, they're all the same to me) that was at guitar center for $2789. I talked to justin at a show awhile back and he says those taylor's are his "beat up guitar" for the road. hahahaha, I wish I had enough money to beat up a nearly $3000 guitar. ;)
