I'm sure her father loved her and grieves now that she's gone, but why would she confront her addiction and battle it when her father insists she's fine. Also, her later history of severe alcoholism shows that the first person she met with at a rehab facility was an idiot if he really diagnosed her as "not an alcoholic," but a depressive. Amy Winehouse never got the help she needed, and she paid the ultimate price. She was talented, beautiful, young and famous, but she wasn't enviable at all.

He and Amy's mother did everything they could for their dearly loved daughter, and I now think that she battled her addictions as hard as she did because she cared deeply for both of her parents and didn't want to hurt them.

@sblanco100 You know that most fathers will never think their daughters can do wrong. She was his little baby. I can understand him a great deal. That is why she had a mother to tell her to get to to the rehab/therapist, and she did. Now she was honest with the therapist and at the time probably didn't need intervention. But later on she did. She got some, but as an adult and free human being she had rights to do what she wanted. Could someone tell you what to do? I don't think so.

Its so sad how all these people talk about how great she was\is and how much she means to them. But noon of them tried to help her when she was in need i mean come on her dad said she doesnt hav to go to rehab! She was suffering from drugs/anorexia/alcohol and nobody was able to stand up and say ok enough amy, get a grip! All the managers wanted was her money and her parents.. did they not c what the world saw her strugling with life? i just dont understand... rip amy!

I'm sure her Dad's harmless comment 'I think she's fine' will haunt him forever. Who knew her bender after first break-up with bf would be the start of a terrible battle of addiction to him/drugs/alcohol that would lead her to her death. Thoughts are with her family; her parents must be distraught and it's unimaginable how they must feel at this moment.

I'm sure this interview will be aired on TV several times in the coming weeks.

Great documentary. You can tell through her words and music how troubled she was and how her fears and insecurities eventually got the better of her. She had a good heart - just too fragile.
