I see this arguement all the time "take the money out of politics" and its a silly arguement to start with. If the congress and the president could only do what they are authorized to do in the constitution then money would dry up very significantly especially from the banks. So the real issue is, Unlike Ron Paul who has NO Lobbiests beating down his door, We need to scale down what we as americans think the role of the government is. I also analyze and cross fire news from different perspectives. If you listen to young turks, RT, France 24, BBC and even foxnews, you start to read things better. Some videos of greeks uprising are the best from RT, there is no censorship. Just like during the French riots in 2006, I watched British TV

Two Very important things that go hand in hand. One taking the Cash out of Politics, but also take the Goverments Cash out of Media.

Since they have become involved in the media, everything in the media has become a Monopoly. So long as they can keep kicking the news agencys money, they can control the news. Controlling the news, they can hide anything they want.

If we had honest and independant news sources in the past, we would have never made it to this point!

Seeing as the high court just made it perfectly 'legal' for private corps to give as much as they want to any politician, we have a long road ahead of us. That court is supposed to represent the majority of the people, not the majority of the wealth. Unless we all band together and roar (make a difference with our money), nothing will change. It will take an army of concerned people - with a common denominator - to make that change a reality. If we remain napping now, the future is bleak.

Taking money out of politics AND the military would do wonders for the economically, not to mention it might gain a tiny bit of respect from the rest of the world. Having said that, we know it probably wont happen, Obama seems hell bent on continuing Bush foreign policies, which are fear/war mongoring.
