CWA is so two-faced, you support The Employee Free Choice Act yet your going to force me, a VZB employee, into the union and force me to pay dues. I have been a VZ employee for 8 years. While in initial training in NY we went on strike. I was new and scared butI still walked and I haven't looked back.CWA 1105 in NY is amazing. I am in MD now and CWA 2108 is ok but the fact remains. My boss can't intimidate me, my job is guaranteed, my healthcare is guaranteed and I am loyal to my job and my UNION. I have worked on the other side(w/o a union)and you can function but if you boss wants to fire you tomorrow for any given reason you are GONE!!

It seems as if they have bought back "Light Duty," into the lexicon of the outside garage field craft, entitling it as "SA" -- (Special Assignment.) They have bought a young female craft into the managers office to do clerical work, of whom they had placed in the cubical behind me, which now does not make me an extension of the management team. This serves to make me just another craft: inferior craft!

Verizon Wireless doesnt need a union. They treat their employees well, they give us proper compensation plus bonuses. There is no need for some silly union to come in because they want the recognition of "grabbing another major company"... I belonged to CWA when I was with Cingular and let me tell you... I will NEVER give 1 red cent to them ever again in my life. Total rip off and they did NOTHING for me.

Verizon is in HOT WATER with the Public SVC Commision in Maryland & the PUBLIC Utility Commission in Virginia due to so many complaints.Verizon is governed by these Commissions & our CEO Ivan has to answer to them as to why he's slacking on service.I am a PROUD member of CWA and we plan on tearing down the wall so Verizon Wireless can organize.
