  • gonna make some retards mad. God doesnt exists

  • I love how people can't believe in REAL scientific observations and theories, but can believe in book(s) with little to no evidence of an event happening.

  • just kinda curious... why do people who believe in god/gods come here and speak up. i dont go to videos of what you believe in and talk crap. can we please just keep this video civil?

  • i find it ironic that i can make a pretty accurate statement when i say

    most christians mis-spell frequently.

  • now souls ,are taken under earth .please request you to request make bring back all the souls ,every molecules to earth .and make good dissison to save every one . request to give death panality for me,mother ,and father ,and even to my two brothers, and one sister to soul ,grand soul ,kundaliy , by giving or injecting poision ( which science & scientits can produce ) and ( shown in the "dasavataram "tamil & hindi india movie )burn infront of everyone on the earth only .

  • @bgupta2001 You speak English about as well as a 4 year old.

  • @bgupta2001 what u say? (you have no chance to survive make your time) (anyone who gets this reference is cool.) ( seriously though, if you want to preach, atleast learn how to speak english. )

  • Is very easy to say that this is what Hawkings thinks, poor man hasn`t even got a voice just a machine.

The Bible was written 400 years ago, if you searching for the real answers you should read The Holy Qua`ran.

    Is all in there.

  • @dianedobsa The Quran is hoax friend.

  • @dianedobsa "Don't bother warning the disbelievers. Allah has made it impossible for them to believe so that he can torture them forever after they die. 2:6-7"

"Allah brags about drowning the Egyptian army. 2:50"

"You must believe everything Allah and his messengers tell you. Those who don't are disbelievers and will face a painful doom. 4:150-151"

    "A woman is worth one-half a man. 2:282"

"Your wives and children are your enemies. They are to you only a temptation. 64:14-15"

    All in there.

  • @ShadowxBoi allah and mohammed are having a flaming homosexual relationship in limbo, that's what they do with all the non-belivers, they snatch em up and have gay sex, licking each others nuts into eternity... it's true, i read it in the core-anne. in islam hell, all the men wear burkas and are forced to be subserviant to islamic lesbians.

  • gota love science, proof, grass is green , sky is blue, dog shit lol,,but realy ...its there fact...not a book, no jesus,no muslim, jew, nazi watever.all that shit was created by a human, maybe to control or faith watever....science is reall..cant change it and you sure cant manipulate it its been there and where finnaly being able to start understanding it but some wanna beleive in faiths and wars and etc...

  • If seeing is believing then all magicians are Gods

  • I don't know about faithheads, but for a rational person to believe in god is worse than painful; it's hell.

  • Believing on God is sometimes painful, however, the pain is not enough to make me forget THE GLORY!. I'm eternal and will be raised from the grave, and thousands of years on the future, my name will still pronounced.

  • I just can't understand why people anymore thinks about science and religions. Religions are the classic way to understand the world. Now we got proof and that should be enough.

  • @LORDMCHUGH using loigic : disproving existence of god (in the world of sane ppl, not posessed by arbitraru guesses)is NOT necessary; the idea of disproving the existence of god is ludacris, because there is no factual reasons that wld suggest it's existence in the first place (the idea of god is human-made and has never had a tangible evidence under it). Using the popular example, if smn told u there is an invisible flying spaghetti monster in their garage, how would u go abt DISproving this?:P

  • @LORDMCHUGH Why are you arguing about obvious things. Lordmchugh, talking about god. You are talking about faith etc. Fairy tales can be easy seen when you are above the age of 3

  • @LORDMCHUGH Are you on something? Your comments tell me

  • @LORDMCHUGH Logic suggests that the concept of god has to exist to be real. Being real must provide tangible evidences. A negative cannot be proven. That is illogical. There have been 10s of thousands of gods in our history, none of them were ever tangible. Including the one you have in your mind.

  • @LORDMCHUGH Rational thought doesn't hinder assistance to others in need. Religion does. With rational thought, there isnt any discrimination in these selfless acts, religion discriminates. Think, I beg you

  • Big hawking fan but leave biblical refs. outta this. There may have been a person they calld christ but he wasnt.the son of god

  • @LORDMCHUGH Without rational thought we wouldn't know how certain molecules work in our system... carbohydrates would be seen as nothing rather than knowing it comes from saccharides... science has done more to us than religion will ever do.

  • My theory: we are aliens, we were on a planet out of this solar systems, we crash into another planet, everything was destroyed and the few that remained were us. Then we evolved into humans.

  • @DeadStarsShine pics or it didn't happen (evidence)?

  • @DeadStarsShine The human genome project just discovered evidence of this in human dna. Aliens indeed.

  • 6000 years. Old Testament. Shotgun. Legalized sex with my 1st cousins and/or siblings. That's all I need... 'ahear'

    -Cleatus

  • science and religion go hand in hand

  • @Leivinn20 People are just used to something that have "started" or "begun" from something. Everything just excists and it allways have.

  • @S0nicSynth :therefore, eternity exists, however, if the universe is eternal, why are we filling the planet just now?, the eternity implies all probabilities...-simple: the universe is not eternal, but what originated universe (all thing) is eternal..

  • Sceince and maths was stalled after Chistianty......It Only picked up again after people started to question it. In the future theyre will be no religion because, if we do not get passed our culturel beliefs and nationaltiy we will never survive though our tranformation into a level 2 civiliation. The 100 too 200 years ahead are our greatest battle in the civiliation of humankind we will ether destroy ourselves or procced into lvl 2 cilvilation which controls the power of a star.

  • It's crazy seeing how advanced the ancient Greeks were in math. And how Aristotle could so accurately measure Earth's circumference. Being the birth of western civilization, I couldn't imagine where we would be without Greece.

  • In response to my previous post: This would support the "creation " story. "adam and eve" were the first genetically engineered humans from which our race as we know it came about. I know many people are rolling their eyes as they read this but to me , this is a much more plausible theory than the fairy tales the bible tells us. just think about it. what sound more insane? some cosmic fucker that blinked his eyes and all of a sudden everything exists OR evolution doing its thing and aliens?

  • why does it always have to be one thing or the other? It' always science or religion! I am a religious person ( who doesn't support any religion that believes in God whatsoever!) and both the "genesis story" and evolution make perfect sence to me. call me crazy , I don't care but I believe everything science has taught us about the creation of the universe up to the point where we evolved from the first primates. however I believe an intelligence greater than our own altered our species.

  • Stephen hawking must be one of the smartest human in the world. He is so smart i feel sorry for him to be in a wheelchair and having als. He deserves to be abled!

  • In atheism you rely on technology and science. If we would go with that philosophy than why would we care about sick, diseased, 'weak', 'imperfect', 'old' or people who 'does not' fit in our society. Why should we bother with a person who has ALS, even though he might become one of the biggest minds of our world...

    /Agnostic

  • @godlosme what a stupid comment

  • @godlosme This is retarded comment, oh no actually it makes perfect sense. We atheist are immoral because you don't believe in a stupid god.

  • god: im going to create all of you... but if you don't believe in me, i'm sending you to hell for all eternity! how do you like me now?!?!!

  • @Frypanfacegook fuck you god

  • everytime concerning about science, i feel alergy with religion in most forms.

  • Some planets 'West to East' "Sometimes stood still" "Sometimes East to West" :-)) WOW!!! The church at the center of hidding truth. Ummmm What a crock. :-) Now I listen to the rest and get wow-ed to piecies. :-)))

  • Religion is detrimental to intellectual freedom and objectivity

  • they forgot to mention that Copernicus was a Polish scientist..

  • @jayyyg84

The beautiful art of mathmatics. To this day, we still not have seen a black hole. Yet it must(good chance) exist.

  • ok timeout, i have not looked this up but has any1 stopped 2ask how in the world, did people from before telescopes were invented, how they know bout the plants, stars, black holes etc? it blows my mind away, for how do we know that wut we c r not holograms created fabrics of time and space that was created with 3D in mind as to the whole "real experience" of being there or discovering it with the aid of telescopes n not actually being there in time, to understand its "space"?

  • I wish that the people who post these types of programs disable the comments so that one does not have to read the ridiculous religion vs. science debate. You guys do know that you can never convince the other of your view right??

  • To drav1dan. Religion is just an invention. There is no magical man in the sky and angels with wings and fucking harps on. Science explains how we work, wot we are made of. Why the fuck would science want to know who the fuck you were.

  • ...btw. Im still confused how person can be scientist and scholar and do priest work in spare time. I just don't get it. Its paradoxical. And i start to dislike this habit on most of documentaries to tolerate that fact. LIke in this video... they promote scientific method and science over religion but in other scene they are really polite and nice to spare time believers? Its almost like "we are not so sure so better be safe than sorry". Inquisition wasn't so polite.

  • 2. it's a possibility these life forms have already known how to live on a planet synergistic...while we 'finally go green'. man thinks he knows...but he doesn't know shit yet. point of reference is always misleading. the theory is well we waged war, so the other side definitely will do right? cause, ahhhh we do it. NO.

all cultures are different and to assume that one will replicate the same shitty was as we/you...well that's a horrible assumption.

    wrong mr. hawkings...thinkoutsidethebox

  • @doctorsizzle Dude wtf its not even in this episode... what the hell you talking about?

Its probably abut that storm of ads when SH say aliens are bad boys? Don't take this seriously man im not even sure he say that himself or some douche bags just mismash his words to fit their ads for this series. You should think out of the box to sometimes... it not take much of brain power to figure out obvious fact if aliens exist they will be ALIEN to us in culture and aims. SH knows that for sure.

  • i don't care how smart this dude is...or anyone for that matter. if a person presumes that an 'advanced lifeform' will only replicate what we've done to each other...to the planet...well that's just a dumb-ass theory. it's possible, but it's still a presumption.

the human's problem with understanding something else is that it uses itself as the yardstick of measure. if you say 'advanced' our assumption is technological advance. they're probably advanced socially, biologically, etc.

  • good stuf

  • Total man crush on Stephen Hawkins.

  • Any society that has a concept of heresy cannot be civilised.

Truth is not what the majority want it to be, truth is not a democracy, it just is what it is.

A thousand million people could all agree that the sky is green and the sun is red, but that doesn't make it so, and there will always be someone who will look up and see - and announce - that it isn't. The religious will cry heretic and suppress him for making that claim. The scientific will say "show me. point to it."

    Which one is evil?

  • The stupidity of the church.

The moment Galileo revealed his findings all religions should have disappeared.

  • The world would be better off with less evil religions.

  • With all of this historical evidence, why does anyone bother with religion anymore?

  • religion is about what made it. It couldnt just be there

  • @MrKevMan thats because humanity frightened, dont want to take responsability for their acts and accept their ephemeral existance. God is a great solution. He gives tou ethernal life, he forgives your sins, he even dies in your place, he garantees that everithing will be fine and better when we leave earth. He also can help you make a lot of money if you take advantage of the ones that belive in him

  • @MrKevMan: Science still can't explain a lot of things. It can't answer "Who am I ?" except in a very superficial way. It can't help humans control their minds. Humans still create terrible weapons using science. Science is a superficial, fair-weather friend. It is entertaining as long as you are sitting confortably watching a video like this. Eastern religions can explain what science can't & also quieten the mind if they are followed correctly. So, people turn to religion.

  • @MrKevMan I would agree that the idea of there being a heaven above us and a hell below us is pretty ridiculous. I believe that most religion is based on the misinterpretations of phenomena by primitive peoples (look up ancient astronaut theory for more). However, I also believe that religion should not be completely banished just because science points to the fact that there is neither a heaven or a hell, rather it should be revised so that it fits in with modern science.

  • @MrKevMan arogance

  • @MrKevMan One word - laziness.

  • @MrKevMan The thing is that many people take the Bible too literal. Even the Church now takes a more abstract and metaphorical view towards it. It all just depends how you view it. Many times the Bible take stories or people not as things that really happen, rather these characters are representations or symbols for something else.

  • @MrKevMan For example, in the Genesis states God created the Earth in 6 days. A day for God could be countless days for humanity. Another thing may be that the days were just use to put a chronological effect. It was a form to state that first came this, then came that. You can never truly know what the author meant.

  • @MrKevMan For example, in the Genesis, it states that God created the whole universe in 6 days. A day for God may be countless days for humanity. It is the the life and mind of men that is finite and not God. So it is hard to grasp or understand him. Or another interpretation could be that perhaps, just maybe, the author used the days for chronological effect. Perhaps it was a form to say, this came first, then came that.

  • @MrKevMan

Evidence of what, dude? I admit that religions divide us, but the divides have been widened by our scientific advances, which have altered our social structures unalterably. Read Guns, Germs and Steel by Jared Diamond for an insight into what I'm talking about.

Is religion the same thing as God? My personal belief is, thankfully, not subject to the constraints of religion, but I accord that there is a divine somethingness driving our universe. Something we all contribute to.

  • because this backs up hinduism?

and is still behind it infact.

  • @MrKevMan

Yep, like Billy Conolly said: "You had a couple of thousand years, you ****ed it, so it's ****ing OVER!!!! Take your red formation, your Vatican and your Mecca and **** OFF!"

look it up, the show is called "Was it something I said?"

  • @MrKevMan Its a way to fighting for and something to live for for most of the believers. My religion is my football team, if they were'nt existing I wouldnt care for anything and probably take my life.

  • @MrKevMan because the freemasons need a way to control the casual ppeople

  • @MrKevMan Aye :(

  • @MrKevMan becaus religion gives a safe warm feeling for some people they feel comfort and it helps them trough rough times

  • @luckygozer So does my cock. But i can see, touch, and enjoy my cock. This religion this is just a bunch of do this dont do that. Many of which are about what i can and cant do with my cock. My own cock. Wouldnt it be funny if a religion told you what you could and couldnt eat. Do you think anyone would fall for something that stupid?

  • @MrKevMan ugh i dont know how to argue with you on this

but just take this in mind

it does good things for people and makes them happy

just like your cock makes you happy

what if all of a sudden you lost your cock what then?

    you would be unhappy

  • But Just take this into thought, Sceince enables us to create a new Penis in a lab, or any organ infact but religion can only give you faith. Taking away religion will only make people upset for a short period of time, after which the majority of the human race will flourish, the benifits of no religion out way massively the down sides...like GOOD 95% BAD 5%

  • @MrKevMan Im pretty sure there already its called judaisim

  • @luckygozer Theyre is plenty of if not better ways for this to be achived, but ultimatly religion is feeding there heads with lies and blurring them from seeing the ultimate truth! which therfore could also make them feel comforted.

  • probably because catholics are fucking little children

  • @copypastecopypaste You are for not providing why.

  • @MrKevMan ethics and morals do not come from science.

  • @TZIYR I never said they did. They certianly do not come from religion.

  • @MrKevMan all ethics can be traced back to religion. Many people today reference "self-evident" or intuitive ethics that derive mostly from the decisions of the Geneva conference which gave birth to the U.N. But the writers of that document were pulling from religious doctrine on peace and treating people fairly, they just put it into secular form. If you can find a counterexample that can absolutely positively not be traced to some religious text I will definitely amend my view.

  • @TZIYR No. I can prove it very simply:

What moral inititive can only be accomplished thru religious means.

I dont need the fear of hell from some magic sky daddy to tell me that lying is wrong and not to do it.

Besides, there has never been any real proof that god even existed, so this whole conversation is pointless.

  • @MrKevMan Im not religious however people bother with religion because the begining regardless of your belief cannot be proven nor dismissed. This means the start of the universe is still up for grabs and explained away by anything within reason, scientific ot spiritual or otherwise.

  • @seamless13

Well, according to the Vatican, god now only exists right before the big bang. Spirituality is another way of saying "i wish magic wasreal, i know it isnt, but lets all play along and pretend that it is and maybe it will be." Religion is a control mechanism for 2 kinds of people, the power hungry and those with a slave mentality.

  • @MrKevMan The thing is, that no one bothers about its meanings. People don't even know anything about the religions, and they don't want to know becouse everything is good as it is now.

  • Man will always find reasons to kill and rob. You can't blame religion for being abused by the rich and poor. This has no impact on the truth of it. It's the same process like everytime, they creat fear(nuclear weapons/terror threats) to polarize and as an excuse for war. Then they take everything, hidden in the chaos.

  • the church crares me.

  • Yes I totally agree and am perplexed by that thot. maybe the true way to experience that would be to "dumb-down" a little bit. maybe animals can see/feel/know it, and r content in that knowledge. maybe imagine being a rock. maybe our mind is a hinderance...?

  • religion is much more complicated. It seems to have a positive effect on societies, especially when they are going through tough times.

  • You are right. Much like Nazism helped unify the German people and gave them an outer-enemy to blame for their problems. Religion is notorious for the same thing. Almost all religions are like that.(I don't count Buddhism as a religion) Sure they support charity, but they also support the rejection of rational thought.

  • Buddhism in it's purest form merely says to let go of wants and desires. It actually doesn't say anything about being charitable, because charity creates Dharma and ties you to the physical world of suffering.

  • Nazism is not a religion....

  • It is a group of people who follow a system of beliefs and the teachings of a leader they worship. It's close enough.

  • @soedblackchaos ou are right. One problem with that is the separation of church and state has also led to a separation between behaviours deemed rational and a moral code of a religious scripture that might have gone along with it. Consider the moral code of politicians and business leaders and perhaps there needs to be a realignment between religion and rational order. Its like the pendulum swung too far towards rational behaviour over moral behaviour and needs to come back towards centre.

  • @soedblackchaos tools for mass conformity. in this world, with so many people having such a freedom unlike anyones had for thousands of years, conformity doesnt work. especially when the foundations of it cant be proven, more so, have been realised for what they are- tools for mass conformity.

  • @soedblackchaos something that could actually conform us, move us toward a lasting world peace, would be something that is not designed solely for that matter, with a cynical face.

a spaceship that could take a crew of men to another planet would give us all something to focus on, and would grant our race much hope for our futures. our central charges would be far more positive and we would have world peace. not because we are made to feel so, but because we want to.

  • @soedblackchaos you speak of "they" when you talk of religion...i assume you include me, a christian. I am a firm believer in science and all these theories that these astronomers think up. Is it impossible for both religion and science, or how you so kindly put it "rationality" to be true? possibly genesis speaks of the big bang, and in my opinion the book of revelation will be tested soon..like all these scientists theories which some have stood the test of time..most have not.

  • @soedblackchaos they also reject anyone OUTSIDE of their religious dogma. That's why although there's many idiots out there believing in existence of various gods, these people cannot quite agree on any one god in particular, even within a single faith.

  • Religion is a mental plague. An idea created to create a system of order, both social and mentally. Religion is the narrow minded persons response to the unknown. Not being able to accept that we do NOT know everything and being scared that fact, he imagines a solution. Time goes on and more ideas and explanations conform to produce a complete uniform picture of the unknown: Religion is born.

If you can accept there are unknown factors in the univers still. Then you have no use of religion!

  • have you ever tried to imagine what it was like before the universe was created? can you imagine nothing? while you are using something to imagine nothing? lol that thought drives me crazy

  • Perhaps you don't know the scientific meaning of "nothing" as it is used by scientists.

  • "Grand unified field theory" Youtube it. Best explanation i heard in years.

  • Remember when you were really young and you first asked yourself "why does anything exist"?

That question is just as elusive now as it was then. I can't stand it. Does that bother anyone else? I seriously don't care about anything else besides answering this childhood question.

Every day I work but my mind is elsewhere. All I want is to know what's real. I want to be like Hawking. Sounds like a robot but he's more real than most. I admire someone who lives just to find truth.

  • I relate to you 100%.

  • It seems to be human to know why anything exists. My mind is peaceful because I just accept that existance is. That does not make me complacent or less curious.

  • This is why retards are usually happier than normal people... Whatever normal may be...

  • Steven Hawkings, a universe an a chair.

  • a) It's Stephen

    b) It's Hawking

    c) It's "and" not "an"

    d) You're just a dick

  • Hahaha, just fantastic. You said it right, my friend.

  • Right on.

  • Ok you christians can go and worship your god we dont need you here btw you can say hi to the easterbunny from me:)

  • hmm, u people are amazing...

some of you seem to "have" realised that since "we" discovered big bang(wich was actually more like Big Puff, since there was no medium to transfer the waves...) there is no God, and paradise or heaven.... and that was the moment of creation, and thats it.

or there were many universes and many big bangs so WHERE IS GOD,WHY DIDNT WE COME TO BE EARLIER..

maybe you limit ur self so u cant comprehend that there actually WAS something before the big bang, WHATEVER IT WAS

  • You know you religious guys don't have to see it ... in fact you can all go pray to whatever you pray .. Allah , God , Buddah , Satan ... and follow a history book written 1800 years ago ,when everyone was afraid of goats ... I am sure no one will complain or miss you guys here , I am also sure that if there is indeed a allmighty being that created a universe this size ... he is also not giving a shit about what you think ..

  • cosmology doesnt disprove adam and eve Genesis???!!! IS THIS WOMAN MAD

  • ...you didn't even spell the religion you're defending correctly...

Not the best spokesperson for your cause.

  • You're an amazing "chritian". How Christ-like are you? Your hateful post would make the person you claim to love and follow very sad. For your sake you better hope we're right and there is no God. I fear your soul if we're wrong.

  • listen my god is whoever created the universe, science still cant answer this but it definately helps me understand how its possible and makes me realize how amazingly inprobable our existance is and only stands to instill a greatr sense of apreciation for my humble existance.we have a sense of self and understanding like no other living thing we know of and to whoever mad this possible i say Thanks, and too anyone who doesnt feel this way about their existance, sorry your life seems meaningless

  • is that the Doors playing in the background? BRAHAHHAHA

  • I think too many people assume that the term god refers to the judaeo-christian mold - ie a sort of grandfather figure or puppetmaster that stands outside of his creation... There are other views of this strange word that gets clumped together as god.. science is a tool of man anyhow - and is merely perception..we can't really objectively conceive of anything greater than our own mind and it is almost as redundant and self destructive as any of our other so called instinctual tendencies...

  • yawnn... for some reason I prefer Michio Kaku, and that involves that he makes me think AND laugh, not sleep.

  • the universe is as vast and complex as your mind makes it,in other words nothing is to strange or bizarre, imagine if you went back 200 years and showed the people a car or a laptop they would burn you like a witch because they wouldent understand, the same is happining right now,but our minds are open to the strange and bizzare, and what we once taught of as been strange or bizzare turned into fact,so in the future we can only imagine whats going to happen.

  • where is EP1 (3/5) ???

  • If there ever was a person who could literally disprove the existence of a God, it would be Hawking.

  • im not religious but i'll do a little test. i can prove god exists, according to the multiverse version of the string theory, there's a parallel universe where we were created by god, one where we didnt, and one where we are all gods

  • since there are infinite parallel universes, all variables have to have infinite values, and the same values multiplied by others infinitely, that's more than enough to change many of the "constants" of the universe like we could have negative gravity, quantum could work diferently, basically anything that you can program in a computer model, so if that's posible then a person can have unlimited powers, i dont think you can prove me wrong on that :)

  • ok i did a little research, no, some constants like quantum could not have changed, but initial conditions may have varied little enough to make them act strange, and there could a version of a person that has made all the right desicions at the right time, perharps in a far more technological society, that has already mastered stuff we cant even dream about

  • Well you are forgeting that there are various kinds of inifinty. So it is not true, that by simply adjusting all the constats to all possible values, you get Universes with Gods, no gods and human gods.

  • you're right, i forgot the only posibilities are already written in the wave function, they would just combine infinitely, which is not enough

  • Yep ;)

Still it would be amazing to see all the Universes with compeltely different Physics and what structures might there be! :)

  • Yeah, and douglas adams too!

  • I've read somewhere that the solution to our existence is as simple as imagining an infinite set of possibilities -- each one is a universe with unique rules/laws, the philosophical theory is that the only universes that exist (or matter) are the ones that are capable of supporting life that can observe it. We happen to be lucky enough to be in a universe that has the right stuff.

  • It's great to see more enlightened comments on youtube. But truth is none of these comments are proof for or against the existence of god. You can't use unproven theories to prove something else unproven.

If we want to be scientific, the real question is do we have a soul? God only matters if we have a soul. If we don't have a soul, then He is irrelevant, since He is not directly active /present in the universe.

  • Yes, it is great to see enlightened comments and then there are comments like yours.

  • He is active in our universe today. In fact He has done untold numbers of things today. If the Big bang is real, then He created it.

Proof of a soul is Evident if you look into yourself. I propose an experiment for you, Seek out God. Now that is one thing you will have a whole lot of fun with. The commitment of the experiment would be a lifetime of study. No it's not a trick.

  • Anytime there's some kind of science documentary on physics, religious guys always have something to say. If you're religious that's fine, but this is a science documentary where nothing is taken for truth unless its supported by observation.

  • hawkings iq:200+

smartest christain iq:1(probebely becuase they belive in somthing that has no evidence ex:me shoving bush up my ass 80million years ago)
