I had a friend who tried to audition for American Idol. She didn't make it. I mean she didn't even make it to the televised judges. First you havta get pass the shows producers. But in that case who do the awful singers even make it on TV? Enertainment. Hence the show is unfair

First of all, I think as entertainment, the show is good up to a point. I personally only like watching the terrible people who think they can sing, but who actually can't, do their thing. You should have gotten a gold ticket.

You are one hundred percent correct. American Idol Completely Sucks! The show is completely fake, no one is picked from the phoney public auditions. They are, in fact, hand picked by Simon. The story broke a few years back that many of the contestants had previous recording contracts. When you see the finalist audition, they are sneaked into the audition and do not wait in line. They also dress them in silly clothes so they look extra foolish in their auditions.

Just because she can sing doesn't mean she is a amazing/great singer. She needs to work on staying on key because she goes flat in some parts. Plus that song she sang doesn't work well with her vocal range so much & that is why she went off key when she sang the low notes. Her high notes are alright, she just need to work on developing a vibrato when singing.

Did you see season 8 there was really great talent it was the best season ever but they should have picked by talent and not just by whose entertaining. They let bad people and good people through to make it interesting. It's not right but many people only watch the beggining. They think its the only good part of it. @zuberous89 The show is legit. The only reason why most of these people who didn't make it is because of wrong song choice. There are severals of people that can sing, but needs practice. You need practice. You can sing, but you just not an amazing singer. You need to work on hitting the low notes correctly. Your vocal range: Mezzo/soprano don't ever sing a Toni Braxton song! You were hitting/singing the wrong keys! She's a bass singer! Please learn the concept of pitch & tone or take SL.

@zuberous89 The show is legit. The only reason why most of these people who didn't make it is because of wrong song choice. There are severals of people that can sing, but needs practice. You need practice. You can sing, but you just not an amazing singer. You need to work on hitting the low notes correctly. Your vocal range: Mezzo/soprano don't ever sing a Toni Braxton song! You were hitting/singing the wrong keys! She's a bass singer! Please learn the concept of pitch & tone or take SL.

@zuberous89 Oh forgot to tell you that you need to work on developing a vibrato when singing. I check out your other videos of you singing and I notice that when you sing, your vocals tends to shiver and that can cause you to go off key. Your rant about American idol isn't going fix your voice. You need to accept that fact that you wasn't good enough for what they're looking for and try to do something about it.

They don't care about how good the singer is. (not to be racist) If there is different races there are a better chance they get more ratings and they get the people they know they will hate(like sanjia) then there is more fights online and more people visit the sites.

It seems finding actual "tallent" is the shows lowest priority.
Anyway i think your voice was really beautiful and pure and with the write song could sound amazing.
Plus i think you also have the looks and charm and likebility.
ALL IN ALL YOU SHOULD OF GOT THROUGH, YOU ARE ALOT BETTER THAT HALPH PEOPLE WHO I SEE ON THE SHOW.

So many struggling musicians have to work their way up the ladder to even get a little taste of success, when these people, all they have to do, is sign up, talk some shit about simon, act extremely strange or have some other kind of gimmick to achieve world fame. It really makes me want to punch those producers in the face.

You know what, I think all of those shows are the same way. I sing too,and I may not be the best in the world but I KNOW I got skills. I cannot tell you how many times I sang for big crowds,all of them say that shit was hot. i decided to try my luck at America's Got Talent and they told me no,after I sang an absolutely flawless version of Unchained melody. I've always suspected what you said - American Idol is a network TV show with all that implies. Music and talent serve the show; the show does not serve music and talent.
If I want to see music and talent, I can come on youtube and have much control over the experience:.

American Idol is just fancy karaoke! They sing covers only with a live synphonic pro-band. They may as well pop the karaoke disk and save money on the musicians. I know karaoke when I watch it and that is every season then and every season to come.
