  • is the guitar a 95/97 custom shop model ?

  • Also, this guy needs a convertible to commute every day of his life.

  • This guy's style of appearance totally disturbs me, but I sorta like it too. It's like some strange david lynch character. He should have his people call their people so they can get him into any future projects as like a henchman or something.

  • you look like a fucking clown

  • wow this guy is excessive.

  • wow this guy is excessive.

  • but are women at all attracted to the look?? hair today is what we called "geeezus it was a longggggggg night" morning hair...and now it's cool

  • I remember you worked at Guitar Center in Escondido Ca N San Diego You were always a nice guy and tryed to be helpful ,not like alot of the Asswipes who think there "Rockstars"Turn the amp up and the reverb down Nice Amp I have its brother,a 64 transition BF I bought mine from Hollywood Parks and Receation in 1971 when they remodeled the Bowl

  • Why would you wet the amp so much? You kill the tone...

  • You have got to be kidding me here.

Do I need to get checked out by my doctor or was this demo bad?

  • johnny bravo's long lost brother

  • Hey Marty Schwartz here

  • I believe in self-expression, to a certain extent. But does this guy realize that he looks completely fucked?

  • douche

  • vintage 66 bandmaster............amp.

    great rundown though

  • it's allowed to look at your guitar while playing jason;)

  • @Bram1610 It's actually a good thing not to look at the neck while playing, because you use your ears more than your eyes to play.

  • @Simto i'm only saying it's allowed since he doesn't stare at anything else than the camera while playing. just noticed :)

  • jason lee??? HAHAHA (my name is earl)

  • i can't believe this guy likes to have this look ; )

  • Nice demo of the reverb unit. So... how does the Bandmaster sound?

  • is that a bill lawrence bridge pickup?

  • what a clown, he should shave, cut his hair and then maybe people will listen to him

  • Why does he always use so much reverb?

  • @46lar Well that reverb tank you see on the top is about 700 dollars so why not/???

  • @95blake59 Because it ruins the sound of a good amp and guitar that's why. You can use too much reverb you know.

  • @46lar Its not ruining the sound at because hes going for a surf rock sound. if you didn't notice.

  • @95blake59 The bandmaster is a guitar amp that is used for genres other than Surf music. So I guess it would have been useful if he turned the reverb down a bit at some point. Not everyone plays Surf. If you didn't notice.

  • @46lar there is no such thing as to much reverb !

  • This is a horrible "demo" of this amp! I own several Bandmasters ranging from 1964-1967 and he didn't capture the character of the amp at all! The reverb level is washing everything that is good about these amps! Bandmasters don't have reverb so to demo the amp using a reverb tank doesn't give a true view of the amp. Let me tell you, these amps are very versatile and have tremendous warm tones. You can wash out any amp with reverb to 11 to play Surf! Yikes! Totally ruined the tone!

  • Nice sounding reverb. How does the amp sound?

  • At 1.29 this dude says "this amp is a one channel amp"??????????????????????

WHATS THAT BEHIND YOU ? YOU ARE PLUGGED INTO CHANNEL TWO ?????

  • .... i cant take this guy seriously...........

    nice amp though

  • I just got a great idea. . . how about LESS TALK and more playing. We can figure the amp out on our own.

  • He looks like mario.

  • that's a horrible sounding reverb. he'd be better off with a digital one. i always had amps without reverb, so i got a twin, and i used the reverb for about a month. it weakens the sound, and just muddies it up. just use a delay. turn off the damn reverb

  • Thats crazy talk. Digi verb in place of the greatest spring verb in the history of the planet earth?? If only Dick Dale had recorded with a digi set up, then he would have sounded good. Hell he should have used a POD?

  • @kevlar3000 no, just turn off the reverb.

  • I played a gig with a bigshot, who had some rednob fender, with lots of reverb, I was driving though my Marshall Bluesbreaker no reverb, after a few songs bigshot wanted to play the Marshall, so I let him, he sounded way better, then he wanted to play the rednob right away, I asked him what was the problem, and he stated that he can't play with out reverb!!!

  • I know it's already been said, but I feel that it's important enough to say it again. Turn your reverb down or off. You're showcasing the Bandmaster/Bassman/Tele combo, NOT your reverb unit. Please please please turn it down or off. How are we supposed to clearly hear the tone of the Bandmaster through all that reverb? There. I said it. Flame on!

  • stop hiding behind the reverb

  • I love reverb, dont care for tremelo though.I dont get all the hate for the reverb and the hair haha. Just chill the guys has unique hair big deal dont hate. oh and Jason.. Bandmaster or Bassman for a Cold War Kids type tone? I am having trouble decidig between the two..

  • @Zeptallica13 i know im addicted to reverb i might get a fender twin for the reverb

  • I thought he was wearing a hat until he turned his head.

  • the reverb is too high but its not too bad.

  • Less reverb, please.

  • Got seasick from the amount of your reverb...please turn it down before I throw up

  • hair fail lol

  • Kill the fuckin reverb. Cant here the Bandmaster

  • seriously it makes it sound like garbage

  • I have a 1961 Bandmaster and it works REALLY good with my 1967 fuzzrite. Can´t be more cool than that

  • How do you get a gig like this? Any idea?

  • Well, I've had a '64 Bandmaster for about 6 years and always used distortion pedals with it and it took them very well, that's how I did it when I was young, too, with silverface stuff and that always sounded great too.

  • nice hair buddy :L

  • spaghetti western

  • coolest mustache every....

  • Mr. Do

  • xD '

  • the hair sucks

    xD

  • he should get a mohawk!

  • I went to high school with this guy. He was funny guy, kind of awkward, but dated one of the hottest girls in school. Then again the school was only 2 years old in office buildings.

Anyway he dressed nothing like this and his hair was a normal looking. Last time I saw him he worked at Guitar Center.

  • Dude? GI-Joe Alladin

  • Who let this jennie not genie out of the bottle?"

  • So deadly seriously...

How boss would it be if this guy was your mum?

  • I have the same year Bandmaster. Sorry, I couldn't hear the true sound of the amp the reverb was ridiculous. IMHO You don't need that much reverb playing a Bandmaster they're a very shimmering amp. It doesn't really matter if it's a CBS model as long as it's got the AB763 circuit. Plus, Bandmasters are not 50 watts, they're 40 watts, bassmans are 50 watts. Bandmasters are notorious for not taking distortion pedals very well. If you need distortion Bassman's are much better -bigger transformer.

  • Dude, I dig that hair

  • Dude... What the hell is up with your head?

    chill with the 'verb, too.

Nice videos otherwise. I'd give you a pat on the head, but... you know.

  • Great mustache and tee! Nice blonde Bandmaster too! Right on buddy!

  • YOU HAVE THE BEST HAIR IN THE WORLD

  • PilotDoofy, you're probably the same guy who told Fender to stop putting those god awful tubes in their amps to get the cleanest sound out of the amp.

    Great video. BTW.

  • Have you ever used reverb before?

  • The place where I shop has one of these.

  • But you gotta admit...if you've gotta hide a bald spot that's the best option I've seen besides just shaving the entire melon...

  • That sound isnt my bag but dude can play!, Thanks once again bro

  • Your name is JASON LEE???

Just like Earl's actor name in "My name is Earl"!!!

    cool moustache

  • Hey... watch me comb my hair real fast

  • I bet he can play a solo with that moustache.

  • johhny bravo

  • @blackskullbass

    It's Johnny Bravo's mother

  • good job spelling absurd

  • hahahah!

  • I guess I really mean the tremolo or whatever :|

  • Oh god however you recorded that reverb is terrible :|

  • xXxEmoSk8xXx I thought that too lol. its looks cool though. the moustache could use a trim :p

  • lol the hair wasnt enough, he had to get a moustache too

  • hahaha

  • 27 hours

  • not sure if he's got enough reverb

  • lmao, nice one, he loves reverb

  • You're a totally awesome guitar player, but I have to ask, do you look at the mirror before you go out and say, "nailed it!"?

  • Great stuff!

  • PAUL FROM TEKKEN!!! =O

  • thoureh! lmao

  • wow i wonder how long does it take to make such a hair do? i couldn't even concentrate

  • the pawn shop thing is funny as heck . I got mine outta detroit. had it recapped and love it. thanx for the great demo. Johnny Kahuna AKA surfinjohnnyq

  • Tele's are bright enough already, they dont need the bright switch, but its good sounding none the less

    great demo vid

  • Yes, they do need the bright switch. They sound way better with the bright switch on and treble backed off. I have the same amp and the bright switch is a must, without it, it sounds dead for some reason.

  • bright switch is great for low volume playing but past 4-5 it doesn't make much of a difference

  • EPIC HAIR

  • In today's world, we call that stalking. lol

  • Great setup...great reverb and once again...great hair

  • stalker

  • ess tee ef yoo

  • his life is full of reverb....

  • tell me about it

  • stfu about his fucking hair already......

  • HAHAHA EPIC HAIR

  • nice hair

  • he uses way to much reverb

  • there's no such thing sauehusahu

    it's a matter of taste =]

  • most every one agrees and spell to much

  • the guy's hair is cool but the moustache ruins it

  • this is not jason lee but jason bravo ;D

  • is that johnny bravo?

  • Excellent video as always! Most enjoyable! Cheers!

  • Great demo Jason, Oh and you need to dye your roots blonde again lol

  • No, he's going for the 'knickerbocker glory' look. He'll keep layering the hair different colours

  • Come on Dave get in front of the camera you dont do enough lessons nowadays , We wanna see more of the original founder.

  • Yup i agree the initial direction of teaching seems music theory and guitar seems to have been lost , not that the new teachers are not good but we miss the good rock lessons

  • This guy sure loves his effects , i feel like im tripping everytime I hear this guy play..Big up Next level

  • Yo fuck guitar, teach me how to go super saiyan hahaha

  • ROFL

  • Super tone! Nice!

  • Good instruction, thanks.

  • Mr. Reverb is back.

  • Sweet sounds!

  • At the beginning of this video the amp seems to be a "Ferter" amp insted of a Fender. Just the image quality that sucks.

  • nice guitar man.

  • I'm diggin the guitar dude...Nice vid as always.
