This past summer I was running at crew practice and I was talking with a friend, lost my focus for a second and rolled onto my right ankle, heard it snap and fell on the ground a mile away from where I started. Luckily two of my friends from the team carried me back and I went to eh ER that night and I had a fractured fibia. It looked almost like that, although it was a little more bruised/swollen. You might want to get it checked out it could be serious. I was in a boot for 4 and a half months

Ow! See a doctor and a lawyer. Sue the sidewalk owners!! Keep the ankle elevated and apply ice.  Don't stand any more than neccessary and use an Ace bandage or ankle brace.
