Came here via Astronomer and science writer Phil Plait, speaking as a avid internet user who has seen free speech be censored by people abusing copyright legislation even though they are not citizens of the US as I am, I want to thank you for your stand on this issue. I would not have my job nor have met my girlfriend of several years if not for the internet we still have today.

Agreed. No matter, if the bill is passed there will still will always be piracy. Blocking a site does not mean it is accessible through means such as tor. The companies who can, will move out of the US to host where the US has no control over what they do. There will always be a way to get around what the government puts in place.
