come on a tarantula is not that dangerouse and a bat dont really need blood. most of the bat eaten insekt or fruites only 3 or 4 of his kind drink blood and this blood they become from a cow or other animals.
skunks are so cute and whats wrong with having them as pets there are vets that take there stink glans out so they can't spray you after that all you have to do is regularly cut there nails and boom you have yourself the perfect pet skunk
Actually, vampire bats wouldn't be a bad pet just because they suck blood. In fact, people who regularly get blood clots could actually benefit from having a vampire bat around and in nature, animals that have their blood sucked by vampire bats tend to live longer than animals that don't. The problem would be possible diseases contracted through the animal. Not that anyone with a vampire bat as a pet would feed their pet their own blood.
It's funny how many wolfaboos are on this page complaining about Wolves being their pets. (Not pointing at anyone, just saw a lot of comments like this)
Actually over the years, wolves have been trained to be domesticated. Very soon will they be okay to keep as pets. Even though wolves are not common pets right now due to state regulations in the United States, they are slowly gaining admitted. I know a few people that have tarantulas as pets. And why in the hell would someone want a leech as a pet?
@Mewlon Not exactly as a loveable pet but they are often used in non-traditional medicine in which case you keep them in a jar and change their water...like a fishy.
Poison Dart Frogs are only poisonous if they feed on their natural food: ants, centipedes, etc.. They have to eat a diet high in certain alkaloids to generate the toxins. Therefore, captive bred poison dart frogs are just as safe to have as pets as any other frog.
@iloveredalert3 Yeah, but you keep does cats and dogs as pets. So,why not a spider? There less dangerous than dogs and cats.As I say that I mean they do less damage.People hate spiders for there unsettling apperance, but there very cute.I'm sure you would like a spider or a tarantula as a pet cuz there awesome.
Funny because have had a past with the no. 1 its a Reticulated Python AKA the largest snake in the world. They are pretty tame you just need to keep a lot of maintenance.
I keep pythons and they make great pets! Same with scopions, tarantulas, and captive bred poison dart frogs (They only have poison if they eat certain insects).
...You can have a poison dart frog as a pet as long as they are raised in captivity! The only reason they are poisonous is because of the things they eat out in the rainforest.
@bennyOnDrugs Actually the teeth of komodog dragons are curved and hook-like. If a komodo dragon bites into you, itll tear your flesh while at the same time release its venom. Once a komodo dragon bites a victim it will keep on going after it until its drop dead. They are very fast so you cannot outrun one unless you are usain bolt. Iran, North Korea, and China should release these dragons into american society. Hehe
Growing up in a jungle like a wolf. Discovering a dragon egg, pet him and show off flying on his back making faces to the bullies who pissed me off when I was 10. Learning how to charm cobras and befriend them so I can be one of the coolest dude on this planet.
THIS, just broke all my dreams. Disney shouldn't do that to the kids :(
ps: what about lions? any possibilities to do cool things with them?
Wolf: "Tendency to attack if threatened." NO FUCK I would too
Komodo Dragon: Tearing chucks of meat is dangerous yes, but they typically only do that when the prey is dead. They just would bite you hard enough to break skin, there lethal bacteria in there saliva would kill you in a matter a days; painfully. And it's been recently found that they do in fact have venom, lethal venom. I dont think the bite is the problem with the komodo dragon.
ha its funny because i know people that have like 4 of those animals. i myself have an african scorpion and its not so bad if you know how to handle them and some poisen arrow frogs can b non-venomous depending on what you feed it
@OrlyDudeGuy Right! But African rowned eagles have been recorded to prey on humans, and they aren´t a lot smaller! But anyways, I think we have a different definition of dangerous, and as i consider, I come to the conclusion, that mine is wrong! I defined it as the which bird it would take the least effort to kill a human, but that´s not dangerousness, but lethality! I also have to apologize for my misspelling of cassowarie, you know I´m german and here they are called casuar...
@superfangirl1234 Much as I love wolves and agree with you on the idea that they can be, they are hard to keep and harder to keep up with. Raising them from pups is by far the best way to do it, but even that can end badly. Even so, pack behavior is extremely prevalent and they WILL challenge you, if they think they'd make a better leader. Besides that, they CAN attack and have the ability to rip a single person from limb to limb without much trouble. They can be pets, but I wouldn't suggest it.
Just to be fair, wolves only attack if you threaten them and they can't run. Most of them are highly flight over fight. If, however, they feel cramped or cornered and THEN a threat comes up, those giant paws are gonna be on your chest and those jaws in your throat in almost no time. Besides that, caring for one would be very difficult. :<

people have skuncks as pets because they remove the gland that makes the smell. also not all leeches suck blood i have seen and touched one that eats crabs
