  • Nice that's a great looking discus, really nice tank...

They look very happy. Well done!

    Wow beautiful!

  • How can you have marimo in such a warm set up??? Mine died T_T

  • Are your plants real? I was wondering because I want to keep Discus but I don't want to have to but a CO2 injector. Thanks.

  • @bartg41 ask for information in your local petshop :)

  • great gravel, white sand it is ?? does it ever rot or build gas buckets ??

  • thanx!!! yes its white sand. ive been using it for 2 years now and never had any problems with it. there is a great clean up crew in there always sifting through the sand picking up all the left over food and algae. loads of corys and oddball loaches

  • Hey man GREAT tank, i wanted to start to get some discus, what fish go well with them? tetras i no for a fact, any other types? Also how hard are they do keep care off, like does water ph, and etc need to be watched all the time? thanks!

  • this is the best discus i seen on youtube so far, nice man,i wanna find that colour discus...oh, and i think the leopard skinned discus is called brilliant blue or reflection blue

  • i believee its avean blue

  • ive been looking for that colour of discus for a long time but theres no where near me that sells them

  • Peixe gato vidro..................lindo demais!

  • nice dicus man:)

  • no dudes it´s a blue diamond and a common blue turquise!!

  • THey're both cobalts...

Breeders tend to give everything a fancy name to jack up their prices.

    Absolutely gorgeous stock though

  • lol

    dwarf gourami - 4.99

electric blue anti albino dwarf gourami- 60.99

  • The Discus that looks like a leopard skinned I think it's called a reflection blue, it looks kind of like mine. It could also be a Brilliant Blue or a Blue Turquoise Discus, kind of hard to tell between the two sometimes. Yours look more like a reflection blue because of the long strips he has, and doesn't have the point on the top near his tail. If he does then It's probably a Brilliant Blue.

  • hey guys, thanx for the comments.. this is my old tank, i got a 75 gal tank 5 months ago, with 8 discus and the two blue ones in this video are laying eggs like mad!! the blue one is huge as well. i will post a new vid soon

  • Cool discus, i have a 110 gal i will add about 4-6 discus when it is fully cycled, i would love a couple of german rams, how are they with the discus?

    Cheers

  • Rams are great with discus. they are part of the clean up crew. Discus are very messy when they eat, i have a couple rams, and corys. they clean up all the left over food under plants and behnd the rocks.

  • hey mangreat discus, neon blue is the way to go

how bigare these discus right now that they are breeding, and how long have u had them

are u keeping them in a bare bottom or are they just breeding in a regular tank set up

just got my 75 gall 7 days ago

    8 in a 75 gal

isnt that a little to many?

isnt they rule like 1 discus per 10 gals

  • Ok thanx for the advice!

  • I'm interested in keeping some Discus fish when I get a bigger tank (in the near future) but what I would like to know is; do Discus Fish get on well with Angel Fish?

  • they do but angel fish might bring sum problems with your discus health. like parasites, deases and stuff.. but they do get along well!

  • Ok thanx...also, Discus fish grow quite big so would a four foot long tank be big enough?

  • basicaly the bigger the better!! try to get a long tank and yea i think a 4feet tank is good. remeber 10g for ever discus! try to keep 6 or more! i have 5 in my 45g. and im tryin to upgrade soon. i need 1 more discus in my tank!

  • amzing! your fish are stunning, particularly the discus! i would love to keep discus, but they need really clean water, and with such a big tank i would be afraid that i would skimp on the huge water changes. that and they are apparantly very picky about their water parameters. i really do love your tank and it's inhabitants, congratz ;)

  • Lovely fishes! So healthy! Hair up! ))) They are the best!

  • I have a Pair of Ghost White Discus, Marble Angels, A small School Of Fancy Goldfish (Black Moor, Orlandas, Pearlscale, One regular, Calico Ryukin with short dorsal fin), A betta, A sunset Dwarf Gourami, And a school Of Guppies.

  • i noticed we have the same uv sterilizer. whats the tube for?

  • holy fish........coooooool :P

  • OOoooOoooOohh! I thought you meant the Danio. :P I do like them though. But your Discus are breath taking. :) They're my dream fish but I'd need a bigger tank. I have Dr. Axelrod's Atlas of Freshwater Aquarium Fishes and I actually found one that looks like that "leopard skinned" Discus you have and it says: symphysodon sp. "domesticated" and well, that's all it says actually. lol I'm pretty sure there's a common name for it though. Hope it helps a little. :)

  • lol, well thank you! I was afraid to keep them too, but i was given one 6 months ago, and found that they are full of personality. when i sit on the couch they all swim down to the end of the tank closest to me and watch everything i do. They are def worth the hard work. Im upgrading to a bigger tank soon as im finding they grow really fast.

  • Awesome! They seriously are beautiful. :) And I see glass catfish swimming about. I had 2 but they were VERY shy and died within a week. :(

  • well thank you very much. I love the glass catfish. They seem to like the same conditions as the discus. They dont do very much though, but people always comment on them when they look at my tank.

  • I don't see any leopard discus. The one swimming with the blue diamond is most likely a brillant. The discus swimming in the back corner is very stressed, hope he is doing alright still. You should get some more discus to help him out, or put him in another tank and let him relax a bit...make sure he is eatin!

  • The one hiding in the corner is a rescue case. He was living in a tank with some very agressive cichlids. He was given to me a few months ago. i have put him in a seperate tank now with some tetras. he is eating but still very stressed. I just hope he is not suffering from some internal parasite.

  • I ment the leopard patterned one with the blue diamond. Did i get it wrong? Is he snake skinned? As you can see i dont know the lingo. The breeder from which i bought them from couldnt tell me the proper name. Any help would be appreciated.

Im not sure if its brillant. The video is a bit decieving, it looks more blue in the video, but it looks more white by the naked eye. I will post another video this week.

  • Leopard skinned one? The one with the long fins? I see it but I don't know if it's the one you're asking about. I actually have 3 of those. They're Long Finned (Leopard) Danios. And I have a Long Finned Zebra Danio. Hope that helps! Beautiful Discus by the way. :D

    What size is your tank??

  • I ment the discus. But the danio is fantastic. It was one of the first fish i got. used to be 5, he was the only one to survive. Its just getting bigger and bigger.
