imma hell of a good 1st base woman, and guess what...i'm a righty...and guess what else...I really don't need some MAN telling me how to play softball....and guess what else...i'm an actress...my computers an actress, andyour on disaster Softball....lol...i've always wanted 2 do that, but seriously imm a hell of a good 1st base woman, and guess what else...i'm only 13....how you like them apples...=P
@gogurtandallyshow If you don't need a man telling you how to play softball, and you claim to be already a hell of a good 1st base player, then stop watching these videos
@zycronical obviously like everyone else...i was looking to learn something that i didn't know, but this video obviously didn't work. But thanks for the comment though.
@SparkleSnap About an hour to an hour && a half.It depends on the weather,if it's drizzling,then bout 30 mins.If it's cold,then about 30-45 mins to an hour.But if it's on Saturday,&& it's warm,then an hour and a half to one hour and 45 mins. :]
To be in position to make a play from first square you heels to the inside corners of first base, don't move until you judge where the ball will need to be caught at and then adjust your footing with your throwing foot on the bag and you glove extended to the catch point.
thanks. too bad hs softball season is over. I'll use the advice for next year though. I'm trying to find a video of what to do when there are runners on base. for instance waiting for a throw from the catcher to get the runner out. is it a force out or a tag out and whats is the proper footwork on this play. i wud ask my coach but hes too busy worrying about the pitchers.
It would be a tag out. Force out would involve making a play after the hit.
When you have a runner on, you're going to line up a couple steps in front of first. Slide back to cover first with your left foot, keeping an open glove to the catcher.
I'm sure there is a Summer or Minor League game close to your home. Go and watch the techniques of the first basemen. Watch for Footwork and Hand motions.
