On parts of it he was too close, and yeah so his arm was going to far back. Also on some of his attacks he was throwing his shoulder forward, which doesnt help with movements after the attack.

Hey I was wondering(just started to fence foil) whether you should parry before you do an extend for a touch or not...thanks

Yes you must Sieze or Quart depending on the direction of that attack coming towards you. Then you must parry and reposte (extension of the arm only) you shouldn't need to take any steps forward... I hope this helped you

ur pulling your arm too far back and your making poor lunges, the only thing that was actually good about this video was the fleche at the end

Actually, Bijan should have fleched much sooner. I agree with the arm pulling back, and lunges could have been deeper with a quicker hand, but that's the beauty of foil fencing - there are so many ways to improve

Why the dropping of the head on the lunge in such an ugly fashion? It's not a terribly long lunge, so I can't see a point beyond the poor form.

try to mark you'r vest zo your student has a point to place his floret.;

in my lessen i try to do it it's not essy for in the begin but's it learns the kid to do servel thing in a feuw seconds
