Yea...it was a little way down a dark and dingy side street called Cumberland St....remember seeing XTC (twice), Iggy Pop (which I didn't enjoy btw), Heavy Metal Kids (twice or more?) and probably others too...that I don't recall now?! Spent a lot of time in Bogart's and the Golden Eagle as well ;-j

Small world !!!!!!!! you must have known me then and not realised it, because everybody talked to each other in those days, golden eagle was a classic place, Bogarts, well what can I say , paradise musically and friends too I was in there 5 days a week, monday and tuesday off to sober up LOL hahaha stay cool , hey did you sport the beard in those daze?

Indeed!!! Bogart's was the best! Yea... Martin spun some great tracks. See a band there on a Saturday lunch time, then back home in time to catch 'Fluff' start his rock show on R1 at 3pm and get that blank C 90 running! Then wait for the pubs to open at 6pm, eventually ending up back at Bogart's! I can almost smell the petchuly oil again..lol. No, no beard back then! ;-j

No, didn't do that too often, wasn't safe without a raft and lifejacket. Althought that swamp floor was infamous and would probably interest NASA scientists, I used to skid across another entertaining linoleum floor that used to pulsate in....aww...that's a whole other story..

Didn't know the Pisty Boys gigged there! Bet you didn't get any free butter did you. There was milk on sale for real though! A plastic sack of milk in a tin box man! ;-j

Thanks again, I tried my best , but there are slight bits where it was virtualy impossible to svnc, as jean sang the song slightly different, the bpm was almost cock on , brilliant for a live performance, I saw the stranglers many years ago anf their live performance is just superb, never to be forgotten !!!
