Ellen Degeneres and Oprah Wimphrey success owes a lot to the amount of low IQ red necks in America. Careful I am not suggesting all Yanks are retards, not at all. Just got home from seeing the film. Wow. I loved it. As a huge fan of silent/early '30s cinema (and I'm 23), I thought it was one of the most moving homages I'd ever seen, but like Ellen said, even people who haven't really seen/don't think they'd like silent film should go see it. After a while, I forgot that it was a silent movie and was just totally invested in the characters and what happened to them. Beautiful picture, great tribute to the classics. Long live the old ways of movie making!

Le film est incroyablement reussi !! On ne s'ennuie pas une seule minute meme s'il n'y a pas dialogue, c'est un film qui prend aux trippes. Just got home from seeing the film. Wow. I loved it. As a huge fan of silent/early '30s cinema (and I'm 23), I thought it was one of the most moving homages I'd ever seen, but like Ellen said, even people who haven't really seen/don't think they'd like silent film should go see it. After a while, I forgot that it was a silent movie and was just totally invested in the characters and what happened to them. Beautiful picture, great tribute to the classics. Long live the old ways of movie making!
