Keep in mind guys that the device setting may not work for you if you have a newer pvr i just bought a new one because my old one died and the way my device setting works now is different from what i'm used too and i used these settings and it looked really bright and contrasted unlike with my last one.

Pff, people if you must know, FACT is, Youtube only supports a max bitrate of around 8.2mb on 1080 so don't bother rendering any higher...also 720p bitrate on youtube is around 5-6mb..

@gun070 Mine did this. I set my xbox (system settings) to 1080i and it will only go up to 30fps. But if you then go back on your system settings and choose 720p it will do 60fps, and my TV had no visible difference, for a reason I do not understand.

From Arcsoft showbiz I saved as a file as .wmv/.avi on my desktop. In vegas 11 I imported the media and it showed up as a thumbnail in the library - not a name ending with .mt2s... Despite that I dragged it down to the timeline and did all the settings you showed. At the end when I pressed render it said 'cannot render, reason unknown'. help?

Anyone please help me! i just got a new HD PVR gaming edition and i recorded a test video. so after i finished recording i went to look at the preview in Arcsoft showbiz and it was lagging. so i closed that and viewed the video with windows media player and there was no lag, then i moved it into sony vegas, it lagged hardcore in the preview also. i went to render it and view it with windows media player and it was lagging hardcore. someone please help me!

Thumbs up this comment not for the sake of thumbing it up but to warn everyone that updating your HD PVR's Drivers may heavily affect it's compatability with Sony Vegas. -Not Being Able to Import -Freezes after clicking Play -Incorrect Frame Rate Anyways if you Updated your Drivers, on accident go to Device Manager, Go to Sound, video and game controllers, and right click Hauppage HD PVR Capture Device then there click Properties, Driver and Click Rollback Driver.
