  • they don;t mak'em like this anymore !

  • I was in high school and had such a crush on a girl that I was too shy to ask out! She one one of the prettiest girls I ever laid eyes on! Damn I could kick myself!

  • One of the real kings of rock n roll...

  • Original can't be touched.

  • Back in the late 80's,a guy at work told me Jackie Wilson was laid to rest in an unmarked grave at Westlawn Cemetary in Wayne,Mi.Being a bit soul music fan from Detroit,I could not believe it.I drove to the cemetary and yes,by the SE entrance, was Jackie's unmarked grave right next to his mother's unmarked grave.I was appalled such a great singer would suffer this indignity. As fate would have it,a local guy had already raised money for a beautiful above ground vault for hwer and his mother.

  • great falsetto, or maybe it is just an amazing range jackie has?

  • @PreshussPuppy That was HIS RANGE,,in my radio daze,,saw him in many shows. webpage themojoman*com

  • this is one of the best remixes ever!don't let the haters tell u otherwise

  • @4CRTN Thanks 4CRTN! Haters never cease to amaze me - haven't they got anything better to do? By all means criticise but never be rude. There's better things in life to be doing than be rude to people. Many thanks for your comment and happy holidays!

  • don´t like remixed great classics!!!

  • @LLeluco1 You don't like full sentences either apparently. Although you are rather fond of exclamation marks, which is nice. May I suggest you don't listen (I hope you paused it whilst writing the comment too). Cheers.

  • @TheAztecMonkey Like RUSH says it's "the dumbing down of our society". Too hard to DO IT RIGHT. Sorta like "the liberals" just go with the flow.

  • you bet , it always lifts me up....

  • this is the best god damn thing i've ever heard.

  • @JoshN92 Thanks man and happy holidays!

  • @JoshN92 Your comment actually made me lol. I'm not disagreeing with you. I can just picture someone saying that while staring wide-eyed at their monitor in disbelief as they listen to this song.

  • amazing song, remix done it even more hip shaking justice

  • @funkymcmunky Cheers my Munky friend!

  • @LiarLiar101 - you realize the "timeless masterpiece" you're talking about is a remix, correct?

  • Not that it will matter to most here--but Jackie Wilson admitted several times in interviews that HE copied his stage moves from Presley---look it up!

  • The 44 haters and their ilk of this timeless masterpiece, that is gloriously beautiful and pleasing to the ears can not write a note, sing in symphony, harmony, or rhapsody. THEY can not even hum or sing a tune. Cacophony of the eternal malady is their only melody.

  • @LiarLiar101 Why thank you for your poetic comment!

  • @LiarLiar101 Genius BERRY GORDY wrote this and most of Jackie's hits,,he used the royalties from Jackie's songs to start MOTOWN RECORDS,,That's in the history books. READ READ READ READ

  • you bring light in!!!!

Jah bless and peace be with you

  • @magikturtle cheers man, much appreciated.

  • how did you upload this i tryed this song and it was copyright?

  • @MrMusicoutloud I just did it. It didn't say anything when I uploaded it, but then I got a notice about copyright a few months ago, said I didn't need to do anything but the video may be removed. Obviously it's still here, and of course Youtube knows it's Jackie because it links him under the player...

  • @TheAztecMonkey FOR ALL U OUTHER, international law n american law stablish that any 1 has the right to copy, record, print or video anything 6 times,(2 copies for u home 2copies 4 u computer and 2 for u car) this is because u o ready pay authors, artists, producers rights, etc evry time u buy a machine to record ,copy, print or video u r paying for that right means the companies give a payment to all of them,,so no to worry u all copy print record or video anything 6 times, PEACE RAXA

  • Music is fun, music is for making your imagination fly. Those 51 haven't learned

to let go and just listen to the music and enjoy it and just being alive.

  • 50 ppl were so intoxicated by this song that they missed the like button and by mistake pressed the unlike button

  • sorry, but crap.

  • I got to see him at a rock and roll revivle in 1976 in Ok, City. I also got Wolf Man Jack's autograph as he put on the show. Jackie Wilson was great and what a voice he had.!!

  • 123buddyholly are you sure? I've read on Wikipedia that he entered coma in 1975

  • @123buddyholly I appologize for the wrong date. My wife just informed me that we went in 1973. Must have had a senior moment.!! Anyway I'm so glad to have had the chance to see him.

  • @123buddyholly That must've been amazing, I wish I'd had the chance to see him. Legend.

  • Good stuff man! It's simple and all about the good vibe and Jackie!

  • Excellant remix my friend, but I have one serious concern.

If this is meant to be DnB, where's the Bo'Selectas and Re-Rewinds you rastaclat?

  • Can't compete with the original.

  • love it

  • @TheLukeDoodle Best comment ever! Thanks!

  • They just don't make songs like ths anymore! This is such a happy pure song!

  • That's the best thing I've heard since god spoke to me in 1979. He said, "Sorry I thought you were someone else." Ever since, I've tried to be someone else but how to know if I've succeeded?

  • amazing!!

  • I LIKE THIS SONG

  • Thank God for the oldies.

  • Well done AztecMonkey, nice tribute to the great man. If this remix does anything, it show cases the extraordinary talent that was Jackie Wilson.

  • @mikser Thank you very much, I agree Jackie Wilson was an incredible talent indeed and the original of this song is pure joy in musical form.

  • @TheAztecMonkey this is brilliant , u obviosly have good taste to pick such a tremendous song

  • @jamietherooster Ha ha, thanks, it's an amazing track sung amazingly well!

  • to bad Otis Redding owns....

  • So much talent. We owe a lot to the many great black performers of this era. Jackie was one of several at the top of his game. This music is so full of hope and the fact that it was just a step removed from gospel music is a factor in this.

  • fantastic blast from my very chequered past!! x

  • @TheVonbo Ha ha cheers! I won't ask about your chequered past!

  • great job

  • well played sir ! Don't listen to the haters, this is a great creative tribute to a classic! They wouldn't have time for hatin' if they were creatin'...

  • @StopMKold Hey thanks man - the haters can start to get you down but you made my day. Cheers and happy new year!

  • @TheAztecMonkey Same to you!!!

  • @StopMKold I actually like this song it sounds good i first heard it for the firs ttime a few weeks ago me and my mother was listening to this song.

  • why would someone want to ruin such a good song

  • *suicide*

  • what a shame....

  • Clear the way! The Statue of Liberty is coming through!

  • A mess made out a a masterpiece to say the least !

  • good effort man. few tips; when you sample, take snippets from the song, dont just lay a beat over the entire track, also its called drum and bass for a reason! i only heard drums dude! also u need the other things simple drum and bass tracks have ie. build up, drop, break ect ect. good idea, great track, keep trying man

  • @mishabruml Cheers for the encouragement and advice, I agree with all of it, particularly the weak bassline. I might have another crack at it one day.

  • @TheAztecMonkey Can you send me the song too ? Please

  • No. Hell no. No. You are a bad person for what you did to this song. Donating a hundred fluffy duvets to a drafty orphanage in Siberia MAY, just may bring you back from the fiery pits of hell, but it's a long shot.

  • @Etimos Fair enough, cheers for the comment anyway, at least you put some thought in to it.

  • @Etimos what kind of person thinks of that , nutter

  • bloody awful!!! you have no taste

  • @georgios895 Thanks for the considered and objective critique. I would prefer to think of it as I simply have different taste, but that's just me.

  • None greater.....None

  • Wtf is all that unnecessary crap in the background? Why are you trying to fix something that isn't broken? Take your synthesized shit and go pitch it to no-talent ass-clowns like Lil Weezy and those other jackasses

  • @Cerberus743 What did you think a "DnB remix" was?

  • @Cerberus743 lighten up - if you dont like it, dont listen to it. no one's forcing it down your throat

  • nice one.

  • @71moonman Thanks man.

  • thanks for ruining a perfectly brilliant piece of music ass-hat.

  • @Silvern1 Ha ha! Ass-hat, brilliant insult, good work!

  • @Silvern1

<3 - ass hat. Hella bad remix.

  • Awesome tune! Very good remix too, where can I download this from?

  • @16vpaddy Thanks, very much appreciated. I've not uploaded it anywhere else, I'll upload an MP3 and message you the URL.

  • @16vpaddy COPY AND PAST AT THE TOP IN SEACH BAR . DOWNLOAD DVDVideoSoft Free Studio CONVERT TO MP3. EASY AS THAT

  • Awesome tune! Very well made remix too, where can I download this from? I need this version

  • Comment removed

  • i love how the breaks change from a nice rolling 2 step beat to splashy amens at the chorus!

  • What happend to amazing singers like this!

  • this is shit

  • @19KISStheSKY97 Thanks for the charming comment! Perhaps you'd care to post a video response of your own effort, or is your musical talent as creative as your criticism?

  • Great mix! This is one of those songs that could really benefit in the modern age with several remixes--it is that good! Well-done!

  • @bartonim Thanks very much for the comment. Not only is the original an amazing track, it lends itself very well to a DnB remix - even I managed to make something of it, and I can't write DnB for toffee.

  • YES MAN! Banging remix bro...

  • @jimmyfishbean Thanks for taking the time to comment, I appreciate it :)

  • YES MAN! Banging remix bro...

  • Actually... takes a couple of listens... but it is definitely a creeper!

Would be great to drop this to a crowd of people who been dropping the adams' all night and watch them gurn away happily! lol

Add your own rinse out is a necessity at the end of course...

  • @edgotham Hey, thanks:) I'm hoping to play it at a party later actually, it's always nice to see the reaction, especially in Guernsey! You might like my Lionel Richie remix too, it's in the same vein. Cheers.

  • Formulaic, but fun...

  • great mix, thnx.

  • @andrealobel No, thank you for the comment! All credit to Mr Wilson of course.

  • rock on jack!.!.!.!

  • @jasonnightman69 Yeah! Thanks for the comment.

  • Well i dont give a fuck if it 'sounds like someone has just turned on a drum machine in the back ground twice the speed with no feel whatso ever' anything else added would be too much. Nice touch Mann-dy x

  • Hey, I like it. I like remixes and it keeps these classics alive. Have always liked that strong beat so whatever. Wilson was THE MAN. Love that voice, those moves... I say go for it! :)

  • @rmanciaz Hey, thanks for the comment, I appreciate it. I'm not surprised some people don't like it, but then they don't have to listen to it eh? ;-)

  • @TheAztecMonkey

i dunno why people bitch about it

cause its not BAD at all..

people hold on 2 the oiginals far 2 much..

yah the original is nice but this a damn straight remix if u asked me..

  • wow nice!

  • @KJER Thanks :-)

  • Nice, you just fucked an epic track in the ass.

  • Hi sorry it Sounds pants....

sounds like someone has just turned on a drum machine in the back ground twice the speed with no feel whatso ever.

doubling up the drum wont make the song better,

its just overpowering the song, too in your face and totally grooveless, same goes for the bass,

i know it was only a bit of fun, try a less bizzy drum patten,

its always going to be hard to to make grate songs greater,

  • @avacack Cheers for the comment. You're right, I did basically just stick some drum samples on, beef up the bass and a couple of little bits. I didn't even double the speed - the song is already DnB speed. Doubling the drums up did make the song better, at least in my opinion, obviously I would've have bothered otherwise. I like the result but of course 99% of its merits rest upon the awesomeness of the original. I prefer the original generally, but like to listen to this one occasionally.

  • @avacack Your analysis suggests you write stuff yourself, you certainly sound like you know what you're talking about - why don't you have a go? I'd love to hear your version.

  • superb

  • @asc123ism Thanks for taking the time to comment, I appreciate it., but all credit to the great Jackie Wilson of course.

  • superb

  • well done mate,, this remix you got goin on ROCKS! keep it up ,

  • @kevynewman Thanks very much. To be honest I only did it as a sort of joke - I've did a DnB remix of Lionel Richie's Dancing On The Ceiling and played it to a few mates who enjoyed it. I happened to be DJing at a house party a week later so the morning of the party I knocked this up to play as part of my set, with the Lionel Richie track. As it happens it went down a storm, so I figured I post it on here.

  • @TheAztecMonkey ahh well its fuckin brilliant, wuldn,t mind hearing that other one if ya get a min,, maybe upload it, cheers

  • @kevynewman It's already up - see Lionel Richtea in my videos. There's a Cardigans Lovefool remix (kind of a glitch beat thing, it's about two years old, I might try a Dubstep version and a swing/jazz/weird remix of Jimmy Ruffin's What Becomes Of The Broken Hearted up on here too if your interested.

Thanks again for the comment, I really appreciate it.

  • kool pix of Jackie

    really miss him so

    thanx for this really slick

  • @spellerlittlewing He was a legend indeed, and you can't fail to love the original of this track. Cheers for the comment.

  • Good post, gotta digg that old school beat!

  • @FlankerVT Thanks for the comment, much appreciated. It's all about old school DnB!

  • Motown is ALL about the bass line....

  • man you saw the light when you added the bongo's. Maybe some more messing around with the beat repeat ?

  • Ha ha, thanks for the comment. Bongos are nearly always a good idea I think. You're right about messing with the beat and I need to sort the bass out somehow too. I'm not very good at bass lines.

  • Nah the four note bass riff is what makes the song so good but maybe a little less resonance for some parts of the song.
