No, there are plenty of T/C contenders, Remington XP's, and revolvers (including wildcats) both stock and custom, that fire more powerful cartridges than the 500 Smith. Also, in states that allow handgun ownership, there is no bore size or cartridge size limitation.

not to start an arguement but there is more than just the muzzle brake "compensator" to dampen the recoil! Hogue grips, shock absorbers in grip and the fact the gun weighs in at 5lbs. (500 with the 8 3/8 barrel and fully loaded)!!! All brought together to make this sweet little pea shooter a dream to fire!! I have one AND LOVE IT!!!
