  • What kind of a tutorial is this?

  • i have the same cpu and i have overclocked it to 3.5GHZ and i hope i can get to 4.9GHZ

  • What bios do you have?

  • can you teach me how to overclock my socket 939 4600+??thanks!

  • Music's name ? =:o

  • i have the same processor, do you know any programs or stradegies i can use to overclock the same way u did?

  • dude, i have that exact processor. how do i overclock it? i cant find the driver u used.

  • @WLOfails What do you mean by saying driver?

  • @Lancer265 a driver is like a functional program installed into the computer. something that can affect a hardware such as installing a CD for a printer or for computer volume, mainly to let those hardwares to be detected by the computer. The overclock program is considered a driver because it changes a functional detail for the CPU or RAM ;)

  • @WLOfails i know what a driver is xD,but i didnt know that an overclok program was considered as a driver lol,by the way you better do the overclock from the bios.

  • @Lancer265 ik, my comp is kinda weak. i only know how to overclock my GPU though. CPU, i have to figure out a way or if anyone wants to reply to my comment, that will be helpful.

  • @WLOfails Dont worry about that bro, recently i made a post in Toms hardware.com,i was asking for help too,my processor use to run at 3.3ghz now its running at 3.6ghz and its stable,it used to be unestable and had to reset bios, ill send you the link of my post,im gonna upload the pics of my bios setup so you can see what settings i modified.

  • i has this exact processor

  • HOw did you overclock it please tell meee!!!

  • @racer1191 Dude if you have an OEM motherboard(compaq, acer, dell, etc) you cant overclok it,if you have an asus, gigabyte, msi, ecs, etc motherboard you can overclock the processor,i suggest you to search a tutorial, google is your friend you know.

  • love the song:

    tiesto - forbidden paradise

  • i have 4400+ and i was overclock it today to 3208mhz... 279mhz x11.5... air cooling (very big cooler, runs at 3.6rpm), 48 degrees celsius

    ht = 837 (279 x3)

    ram(ddr2) = 533mhz (800 original, but even at 600-700mhz i got BSOD :( )

    sorry for bad english...

  • I did on my 2.9GHz 4600 + with 90nm Windsor vcore 1.18V (full) and Asus M4A785t-M ... anyone got more?

  • Got my 4600+ to 3.3 Stable with 1.475 V. for the core

    System Specs:

    ASUS M2A-VM moherboard

7gb of Corsair Extreme at 400mhz

    XFX 5770 HD vcard

    250GB Seagate Barracuda HDD

    AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+ Clocked at 3.3ghz 47 Celsius idle 65 at 100% load for 1 hour

  • HT Link 1300MHz? i dont think your system will be stable lol

  • i have 4400 can i still do this?

  • Yes, it depends on your motherboard bios options.

  • wtf how u get 3.1 ghz

i can run it on 2.81 ghz MAX

  • i can run my 4200+ at 2.7 ghz so it should be possible for the 4600+ to get 3.1 ghz

  • @shota541 i have the 4200 but how do you overclock it

  • nvm i figured out how to overclock... I just need to know how you got to 3ghz i can only get to 2.7ghz

  • Comment removed

  • what settings are you using to get it to overclock this fast?

  • Wow! I wanna do that I have the same Gpu You should show me how you did that :)

  • I'm running mine at 2.88ghz

  • What type of heatsink are you using?

  • Stock, plus 8 case fans

  • I did it with:

CPU Cooler Hyper 212 (Never goes over 45C)

    CPU Freq: 240Mhz

    CPU Speed: 2.88 Mhz

I just leave my case open and only two 120mm fans. I haven't mess with the RAM. Playing Mass Effect on High setting. Thanks it was because of you that I had the guts to do it : )

  • Thats awesome.

  • my 4600 overclocks like crazy too, ive had it up to 2.88, but keep it at 2.76 just to be safe(higher voltage)... but my pc6400 memory runs stable at 470 with cl5

  • how on earth did you get your memory on 1T? 1T makes my computer very unstable

  • Its stable for me.

  • i got mine stable now as well, but my 3d mark 06 CPU score has gone down :( sometimes overclocking it a lot makes it run slower.. 'a lot' meaning 200mhz lol

  • Mines on 2T :P

  • mine can run at 1T but 2T is more stable.

  • Can someone tell me how i overclock?

    I have this exact CPU.

    (MOBO: Asus A8N32-sli deluxe)

  • i got a 4600 (windsor) highest i can get it to is 2.8 :( i hate amd tbh if i leave it on stock speeds my system is unstable and if i overclock to much its unstable.

  • ah didnt notice, you used 1.35

i cant get that high for some reason, just doesnt start up

  • sweet, i overclocked my athlon from 2.6 to 3.00Ghz and runs stable and under 40C

  • hehe nice overclock, i have the same cpu clocked it to 3.13 though, not a big difference

my ram is overclocked aswell, the chipset supports 800mhz but i clocked it 866mhz

what voltage did you use? set mine to 1.250-1.270

  • can u teach me how did u overclock yours and how did u do it .... mines amd 4600+ windsor its only 2.72 when i try to go over 2.72 mines it goes error

  • what program did u use to overclock yours?

  • Asus M2N SLI deluxe.

  • Got mine up to 3.5 with a Zalman 9700.

  • Awesome. Which motherboard are you using?

  • dude i have the same cpu and mobo ecs black series ^_^ did you oc it with a stock cooling???

  • Yes stock cooling but case has 8 80mm fans,

  • badass overclock, i have a 5200+ and it's only at 2.84GHZ, does it really help the system stay stable if you decrease the memory clock/memory timing?

  • Thanks, yes it helps because the ram and the hyper transport speeds are all affected when you increase the bus speed.

  • I saw your video today, and so I came up with my first one... You motivated me for my first video and my first every overclock... thanks a lot and plz guide me how to overclock more of my processor... Plz look at the video response I posted... Thankx man...

    PEACE

  • I will, thanks.

  • i have a 3.2GHz 4400e in the athlon 64 x2, what do you think I should overclock this to with stock setup, so i have original cooling fan that came with the CPU, and theres a cone shaped thing that takes directs all the hot air out the side of the case. I dont want to OC to 3ghz or anything, just want to oc it

  • I've been messing with my 4600+ and have been able to get it to 3.2ghz stable with FSB 266 vcore up to 1.55, ram stepped down to 667mhz, HT running 1.3hgz, my temp under load is up around 60C/140F. Overclocking helps my DREMPELS framerate!!!! never was able to get this cpu over 3.35, tried ALL possible settings :( probably my board. Gigabyte GA-MA770-DS3 (your board is very important to overclocking)

  • Ya the motherboard does set limits on the overclock potential, if i go past 3.12 it becomes unstable.

  • That's pretty high voltage, I think a system can run stable at 1.55 but I wouldn't want to push it any more than that. What kind of CPU cooler are you running? I'm trying to squeeze as much as I can out of my 4600+ but I get nervous when my CPU temp gets over 50C.

  • l2da6

This processor can do it up to 3,6 ghz !!

Mine's the same and it runs perfect at 3,4 ghz ! Just get a better cooler who keeps the temperatures to about 52 t . I'm wiht AC 64 Freezer pro and 1.45 v for 3,48ghz

  • Awesome thanks.

  • i have the same cpu how did you done this ??

  • can someone please help?!?! my amd athlon 64 x2 tk-53 wont overclock through ntune when it is supposed. it keeps coming up with a message saying "FSB modification operation aborted" or something like that. WHAT iS THE DEAL?

  • wow, nice overclock. ive got an AMD 4600+ Windsor and it only seems to go up to 2.7GHz before it starts becoming unstable.

what is the default vcore on your CPU?

  • 1.35volts

  • Hey can you show me how you got it up to 2.7GHZ PLEASE :) im a begginer of overclocking so i wana know how to do it Please help me Thanks

  • Ok np. Send me your specs in private message.

  • Hey thanks for tryiung to help me but i tried it and it doesn't let me go higher than 2.66 >.> i guess ill stay there thanks anyways :)

  • I was running 2.75 on mine awhile back, but it started BSOD'ing on me, so I cleared the CMOS and forgot what settings I was running.

If I remembered what I was running setting-wise, I'd let you know. It ran stable at 2.75 for several months, I think the only reason it gave me a BSOD was because I had my CPU fans unhooked momentarily while the system was still on and it might've gotten a little hot.

  • the most out of my 4600+ is stable up to 2.62 ..

his is the most brisbane of 65nm, the man is to 90nm =/

  • Yeah, I did some playing with my e7200 and got 2.5 GHz to 3.16 GHz with minimal voltage tinkering and was rock solid stable. I got the thing up to 3.5 but it wasn't exactly stable.

  • What are your temps with that and what do you use for cooling?

  • 31c Idle and 39c on full load. Stock HSF and 8-80mm fans in a mid-tower case.

  • I don't understand. That means that I hve to erase everything on it before replacing it to the new one? and then install and configure the bios and windows vista? or can I just replace like it is and update drivers of the new motherboard and Presto! ??

  • Do you have a full version of Microsoft Vista cd or the recovery cd version that comes with a retail bought computer? Heres the deal, whenever you install windows on a system it scans all your hardware and it makes all the needed adjustments to make it work specifically for that build. If you dont erase the drive when changing out the motherboard Windows will have conflicts because it is trying to find the old motherboard and it might not even boot up. I learned the hard way.

  • Also it is wise to back up all your valuable data of your hard drive anytime you upgrade your PC- Blank DVds can hold up to 4.7gigs of data so they are great to back up your stuff during upgrades.Another thing i wanted to mention is that the bios chip on retail bought computers like Dell,Gateway,HP and such are custom programmed to function with that specific Pc and recovery CD -hence you see thier logo when the pc boots up.

  • The only other way is to format and make a second partition on the drive when windows prompts you in the installation process but it will warn you that your going to have more than one operating system on the drive, so be ready to troubleshoot issues and conflicts. Fresh install is the way to go.

  • ok, u know what I am going to do? Here it is:

I'm going to download windows vista via torrent, put my files and folders on my external HDD burn Vista into a Dvd and erase completely my HDD, hook up everything, sey-up BIOS, install vista with the burned CD and that's it. But how do I erase everything, everything from the HDD???

  • Ok after you set your bios and set the dvd drive as the first boot device put in your windows cd in. Once you exit your bios your computer should post and start reading the windows cd to start the install process. Microsoft Windows will ask you to choose or create a partition to install itself- choose to format and partition your drive. Windows will erase your hard drive for you.

  • Thanks so mush for help, will subscribe ;)

  • Glad i could help. Keep me posted on your progress.

  • how can i do this with mine??? please help i he the same exact model

  • No problem, what motherboard-make and model and what ram do you have?

  • i have the one that the computer brought, its a shit! the "ASUS nodusm3" and 4 gb of 533mhz of ram. but nevermine the question because I am going to build one new with the nForce 780i and Intel core 2 duo. can i use the same hard drive?

  • Hard drives are reusable just reformat and partition it when you install your new copy of Windows. When you first power on your new build set your bios first and set your dvd drive as the first boot device and put your Windows cd in the drive. Then after you save your bios and exit the windows installation process will start and it will ask you if you want to format and partition your drive.

  • OK WHAT coud you do whith a 64x2 5200 on air coold or a pentium 4 HT I"am a AMD fan boy you mite say but I just got dell dimension 3100 whith the pentium 4 HT -the hard drive dvd rom I"ll tri it out and see go vid keep it up

  • Thanks, a 5200+ stock speed is 2.6Ghz and if its a windsor it should have 256kb of L1 and 2MB of L2 cache. It should hit 3Ghz. What type of pentium 4?Whats the stock speed and specs?

  • Dell Dimension 3100 should come with a 3.2 Ghz pentium 4 ht, 256mb ddr2ram,Intel 915gv chipset motherboard,Intel gma 900 onboard video/128mb shared ram,80Gig Hard drive,blaster audigy soundcard and dvd rom.

  • Processor Name Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80GHzBus Speed 800 MHz

    Stepping 9External Clock 800 MHz

Hyper-Threading SupportedL1 Cache Data Cache 16 kb Execution Trace Cache 12 KB L2 Cache 1 MB sorry about the dalay on the info I did not have a hard drive or dvd rom in the dell so I hade no way of noin what it hade in it but it running good for a part outed pc and ike cut power for 8 day's had to stay out at boss for a week and that was a bitch good video keep it up man

  • Thanks, those pentium 4s are the ones they overclock with liquid nitrogen to insane speeds lol. Good CPU.

  • Awesome overclocking man i like it and nice CPU i love AMD ;)

  • Thanks, this CPU keeps surprising me with its potential. AMD has come a long way.

  • Thats right man ;)
