yep, if i remember right, he used to play base until he watch steven i think play then he got very interested then started playing guitar which was on a 1 string flamenco classic and then after a while got a real guitar and yes got the lessons. i think thats how it went

@MattyPS when i said how he learned to play, i meant how he learned how to play the guitar ;) i think i got the story wrong. im pretty sure it was he and steven were going to play in a band and steven wanted to have slash play bass. slash went to take bass lessons, but his instructor was playing guitar as he was playing bass (for him to practice his bass line i guess). when slash saw him play he said "i want to do that" then he got his g'mas flemenco that had 1 string and he got new strings 4 it
