Ha, I've just noticed something moderately science related. Nuclear Fusion is commonly referring to the nuclei of atoms. But due to all the innuendo, it refers to a different sort of nuclear fusion- the fusion of two haploid nuclei (like that of gametes, ie sperm, ovum and pollen) to create a diploid nucleus. So, this isn't a euphemism... it's simply an alternate meaning.
