According the eastern ancient tradition the night of Good Friday in which the Service of the Burial (holy Saturday matins) is taking place the priests must wear golden color paraments. In other places use purple-mauve of black paraments following the western tradition.
not only that. but lighter colors represents the hope of the resurrection. Which happens just the night after this service. so it represents pascha (easter)
Because of the "Harmolypi" who is mean sadness and happyness in the same time, sadness for the death of Christ and happyness for the Ressurection! In the orthodox church the vestments of the priest during the night of the Holy and Great Friday is in the colors of the declining sun!
@acordplyr actually the Typikon of the the Patriarchate in Constantinople makes clear that the vestments of the priest should be either golden, blue or red because of the win of Jesus against death.
The tomb of Jesus, is the wooden structure you see covered in flowers. It is called the kouvouklion and inside this is housed the shroud with Jesus's body upon it. This is the Eastern Orthodox representation of the burial of Jesus' body after his crucifixion ! . . . . the spreading of the flowers represent the victory of Christ over death and the resurrection of the dead to follow :)

Thank you for sharing, I remember this video very well, but somehow I don't see my comment here. Maybe it was removed? It is interesting to see Orthodox Church and its traditions. HAPPY EASTER!
Pews are forbidden in Holy Orthodoxy! and Women have to cover their hair and men and women should be seperated.
This is a very modernised parish!
