  • Do you know its sticky

  • Wow

  • Not one of my favorite episodes. I was actually scared that Grover would die of starvation. Someone was kind enough to tell me that was impossible - he'd die of dehydration first.

  • Is it me, or does anyone else out there think that Herbert Birdsfoot looks like Ned Flanders of the Simpsons?

  • Why is this joke offen played with peanutbutter?

  • lol..I loved this as a kid...couldn't he have used his fingers to open his mouth? lol I love classic Sesame Street

  • I really want to see the clip with Herbert and Grover demonstrating the AN family. Does anyone have it?

  • Poor Grover. He should never have closed his omuth again haha.

  • It is a fact that peanut butter does not stick your lips shut.

  • That's true. Peanut butter can get stuck at the top of your mouth but, it wouldn't make your lips stuck tight, unless Grover was eating a lot of peanut butter making a mess while eating it and he got it all on his lips. I'm sure as soon as Herbert Birdsfoot pulled Grover's mouth open, he probably got some of the peanut butter on his hands if he touched Grover on the lips but, I'm not sure how Grover got his mouth stuck again since Herbert probably got some of the peanut butter on his hands.

  • @afriendofbean I say Herbert Birdsfoot is your perfect niceguy-nerd! Agreed?

  • Yes, I also think the same thing. Probably the only time I know Herbert Birdsfoot was not nice to Grover was a lecture he was doing with Grover on over and under with a mattress where he made Grover go under the mattress and he put a huge amount of heavy stuff on Grover being under the mattress.

  • What about if your lips are furry? Just a thought..

  • Yes, I'm sure Peanut Butter can also get stuck easily on your lips if your lips are furry. Perhaps as soon as Grover finished eating his peanut butter sandwich, he should've wiped his mouth with a napkin or with a wet rag even if his lips are furry.

  • It does in the Cartoon Universe, and that's a fact ;-)

  • I wonder if the sales of peanut butter plummeted after this was aired in the 70s? This was ONE time I was glad that I have a peanut allergy!

  • Doesn't Grover know the 'glass of milk to wash down your PB&J' rule?
