Because Matt said he never liked screaming and other bands that screamed. He only did it because he suck at singing. Then he went and took singing lessons to make his voice better. That what I saw, I may be wrong but just to let you know if i'm right.

what i've always noticed is that when matt or corey mess up on a solo they just hit a note usually the last note of the solo and do a whammy bar squeal just though i'd point that out. still 2 kickass guitarists
