i used to worship apple lol and i thought there were the greatest but as a started looking at the real picture they sort of cheat people by over pricing everything and holding things back and putting them in generations so that people have buy more and more everytime apple is very good for quality but sometime they really cheat people when it comes to pricing and developing everything into just one product

@7aPRilLiA7 navigation is difficult, sound control is on screen only and the thing is difficult to gauge. bought mine today and already is malfunctionning, I would guess though that this is not common.

I had a Creative Zen MX before which in my opinion was much better. Navigating the 3 Vision really is a pain in the ass.

i've bought it 3 months ago, my touchscreen wend to black while i used it 5 minutes ago, he doesn't respons on anything i do, reset,on-off button,pc, nothing...

i'm going back to the shop where i bought i, and exchange it..

i really want a new one.. it's a awesome mp4 player, way better then any ipod, Archos rules.

I bought this because I have a 605WiFi and love it.

Archos 3 Vision looked good because of the FM trasmitter (using earphone wires as antennae) which does work well. The screen responsiveness is horrible. The onscreen scroll wheel is extremely finicky and hard to get working. The touch screen as a whole is very unresponsive (resistive touch).

There are absolutely no instructions in the box or online. It does come with a quickstart leaflet the offers no information on features (like how to using the scroll wheel, how to change wallpaper, how to use voice recorder, doesnt even tell you that the FM transmitter wont work without earphones plugged in).

This unit feels like it was rush through production. Clearly this did not go through any lengthy UAT testing.

Don't buy it.

I got this for Xmas too, big mistake, I should have kept my money and saved for an itouch, the touch screen on this is terrible. I expected more from Archos having friends with the Archos5. 4 days in and I already have a scratch on the screen... going on 2 years and my creative vision W is scratchless...

I got this for Christmas (I see I'm not the only one) and I was stupid enough to open it. The scroll wheel is the worst thing I ever imagined. All it is is an Ipod Touch rip-off. None of my videos work on it, because they always say "file format error". If anyone knows how to fix this, please send me a PM. Otherwise, I'm contacting their support.

I bought this and to me its an excellent player, although my sansa clip has almost twice the sound volume and more bass - the archos is an excellent tool for amusement.

got one 4 xmas.Nice gadget.BUT VERY POOR instructions.Infact hardly any .If you aint "techy" dont bother tryin to put a video on it as it will drve you crazy. Either format error. jerky play or sound miles out of sync..which i put down to player as ok when playing video back on computer via archos.Managed to get sound in sync using wmv at poor quality and 13 frames/sec..or mpeg one which is not the best quality. I have wasted 4 days of my life trying to get a good result. Wheel is also poor

This may be no match for the ipod thouch, BUT it is way more better than the ipod nano in terms of memory space, sound quality, FM transmitter, looks, and price.

Choosing the Archos 3 over ipod nano is the smart thing to do. I did and enjoying it!

Archos is going really cheap. And charbax forgets the AppStore is a killer argument in favor of the iPod Touch. And you can use it to send mails, to update your blog, to browse webpages, etc.

Archos 3 is no opponent to iPod Touch because they don't target the same people. iPod touch targets people who like the iPhone but don't want to pay every month. Archos 3 targets people who just want a touchscreen device to listen to music.
