now if I were an editor, or artist or writer for DC comics I would publish a monthly animated DC universe justice league book and have a story that features Aquaman and Mera fighting Black Manta and an all new female version of Devil Ray.
DC needs to bring back the Aquaman comic series and have a Black Manta and a Devil ray together against Aquaman. why not add Devil ray as a whole new foe to Aquaman's rogues gallery.
Devil Ray certainly kicked ass and I wanted to see more of him. A shame those copyright issues didn´t allow the producers to pit him against Aquaman. Heck, even I miss the name Black Manta.
@joeb1963 word Devil Ray is in fact Black Manta there was just a copyright issues at the time of production that didn't allow for the name to be transfered in this series. The comics Flash even poked fun at that mentioning to the league "Black Mention isn't he Devil Ray now?"
@joeb1963 Well actually he would have been Black Manta but they were going to do a live action Aquaman series so he and all characters connected to him were off limits so they made up Devil Ray to replace him. :) The same thing happened to Batman during the run of the other Batman cartoon so he and all his related characters vanish from the show.
really unfortunate that JLU's Aquaman never got to face DevilRay, that would've been very cool.
