  • I have 6 moth the 42 special is very excited, but i need yet bluetooth system for the pistol, I see a web in great britain for buy and adapted a bt2 wireless for the powerskate.

I have a black out about is more best Li-Po than Ni-Mh

You use a 16 amp whit to units ???? what you gps iphone top speed ? and long distance ?

    thanks for suport Joey

    thanks.

  • @cuerdadeplatino: Let me know if your bluetooth connection works! I'd love to try that! I tried the Altered skate 2G wireless but it's not as precise as the e-glide wired.

I have lots of lipo batteries for airsoft. They can really be dangerous if you're not careful. They can easily overcharge or explode. NiMh are safe but HEAVY. The batteries e-glide is selling are different still - lithium ions (li-ions), safer, but still high power. GPS says 25mph - but depends on weight/hill...

  • @cuerdadeplatino: E-Glide makes two kinds of li-ion battery packs. I forget the amps but you can call E-glide or email them to ask. For me (I weigh 155lb) I get about 25-30mph and my range varies about 12-14 miles but I'm not totally sure, depending on the kind of riding I do (hills, hard carving, banks, etc). To be honest, I've only run the li-ion charge out once! I have the smaller li-ion pack (4lb!!), the larger (6lb) pack is rated for 20-25 miles but I think my legs would snap in half.

  • how may new batteries have you ? one ? price ? new batteries ? average? speed

thanks i have a 45 special good year

  • @cuerdadeplatino: Hey hey! I'm guessing you're talking about the new li-ion batteries. They come in two types. A 10 amp (12-15 mile pack) which weighs 4 lbs and costs $545 and a 16 amp (20-25 mile pack) weighing 6 lbs costing $799. They're rated for 600 charge cycles.

  • with 16 amp More speed than 10 amp ? how many?

for long ride? how many batteries you recomend?

    Buy to david e-glide?

    thanks you video is excelent

  • @cuerdadeplatino: Well I'm not sure but I own other hi tech batteries (I don't own both 10 amp AND 16 amp battery) and I don't work for e-glide but i think you'll have the same power, speed and torque. The only thing different will be range (20-25 miles with the 16 amp).

David is the owner of e-glide so he can answer all your questions. e-glide.com

Tell him Joey sent you and you've seen the YouTube videos. David always takes extra time to help his customers!

  • I just use it to get around my neighborhood, or head over to the pool with my kids (on their bikes) mostly, but it's a great stress relief and I do get the A/T out on the golf course sometimes at night. I probably ought to wear more gear when I get the LI pack. Is the regular board with the LI faster than your A/T with stock bats?

  • @cpsaffel: Hard to say on the speeds between boards. I'm just now getting used to the A/T and riding it around. It sits so much higher, the feel is quite a bit different. At this point, I'd say they're pretty close. So with li-ions, you'd get that type of power/speed on a low profile carving board!

  • Very tempting! I'll probably wait until my new pack starts to go bad, then replace with LIs. Since it's still relatively new (and they're a pain to change) I don't see relplacing them until they weaken. I'm over 200, so I look forward to more power when the time comes. I'm out of Redmond, but travel to Spokane for work (I recognized the park). What Altered mistake?

  • @cpsaffel : Call it my snowboarding background vs skate but my first inclination was to mount bindings on the AT Altered board - esppecially since it might give you more chance of riding hard, hitting berms, etc. So I begin to mount simple MTB bindings - and each thing I take off begins to fall or break apart on the Altered. I had tons of radio shack, Ace Hardware and eglide parts just to insure the thing didn't fall apart or to fix the mess. Bleh.

Redmond! Any good riding around there?

  • @samuroid I have been looking at both the E-glide A/T and the Altered 800 watt A/T board which are both the same price I think. Which is the tougher board? I'm interested in riding one of these boards on grass at parks. Are there any issues with the remote cable with the E-glide when falling off the board. When you fall off the board what happens to the remote? Any issues with the wireless compared to the wired remote? Any feedback is highly apprectiated!

  • @choi4816: Hey! You absolutely asked the right guy! Totally do NOT make my mistake. It was so expensive. I have both A/T boards from Altered and e-glide. I thought going cordless would be newfound freedom. It was an $800 mistake. The build quality of the Altered is Chinese junk. I was crushed. After buying I got zero response to email or calls too. E-glide internals are good quality but when they do fail, customer support is top tier. It's a fun ride. I'll msg you details.

  • That's good to hear,

I'm going on my 3rd Summer with E-Glide. I called in one year after my first DW for new batteries and got talked into the A/T last year (probably a nice day for Dave). I ride a TON in my neighborhood but don't travel with the boards mainly because of the weight, and I'm heavy enough to need a little extra torque on some inclines. Is it really 5-10 mph faster on the flat? csaffel@ryansaffel

  • @cpsaffel - I hear ya on not taking the e-glides around because of weight. When the A/T showed up, I couldn't believe how ginormous the thing is! And talk about weight! That thing could use lithiums, but after my Altered mistake, well, my wallet is still hurting! I'm on the lighter side (145-150lb) and I could tell right away the thing was alot faster - just the weight reduction alone meant alot. It was scary fast for awhile.

  • Hello Samuroid,

One fellow Washington State enthusiast to another: I've got 2 E-glide Dewey Webbers, a standard with Good Year rubber and an A/T with the optional street slicks. Are the LI batteries worth it? I'd love more speed/power, but they cost almost as much as a new board. Let me know!

  • @cpsaffel Sidesliders unite! Lithiums made riding all brand new again! That torque & extra speed is absolute kickass. I do miss the tank feel a bit but it's nimble as a butterfly now!

  • kickass!
