who the fuck ever said punk had to be against war? punks my favorite genre and i love violence, fighting and my dream is to be a soldier but i cant because i am on medical disqualification.
Guess that i haven't read the "punk rock handbook" lately but i have listened to the Vandals for almost 20 years and this just made me love em even more...but hey, showing support for people that are putting their life on the line for your ass must be pretty lame, right?
@MinimoviesInc I never said that I agree with the "war" and I highly fucking doubt that the Vandals were showing support for the reasons that you mentioned. I DO agree with you that shit is fucked but did you ever think that a lot of our troops realize that as well and never wanted to be there in the first place???
@sloshvictim Then why say they're putting their lives on the line for me? These soldiers are not drafted, they chose to become soldiers. I realise that some of them did so because of financial reasons, which is almost like drafting, but that fault lies with the US government spending 60% of their annual budget on defence alone, while millions lie under the poverty line, and thousands die every year in the US due to easily preventable poverty.
@PatSchmee It sure looks like Bryon drumming. Not sure when this video was taken, but I know Josh Freese was touring with Paramore for their last tour. Maybe this was around the same time when Josh was busy doing that.
@MegaFretboy I agree. Most of those guys joined the military just to keep themselves off the streets or support they're families. If I had a dollar for every troop I have met who thinks that would should not be in Iraq or Afghanistan I'd be a millionaire and that's not including all the veterans out there who believe the Vietnam war was a load of shit
@MegaFretboy support them once they are home then. support charites for those who were in the military but selflessly decided to face poverty rather than kill.
@stjimmy95 The reason my cousin joined was because he was living on the streets not because he believed in the wars. The U.S does not need a draft when we have poverty. The troops deserve to hear some good punk rock just like all of us at home do.
@MTVVH1sucks i can see where your coming from, or where he was, and i support troops charities and stuff like that and im not saying troops are murders..i wanted to join the army for a long time and still do, but i dont feel i could take human life for payment to keep myself off the street. i could willingly fight for something i believe is right. War should not be a solution to poverty, thats pretty owellian. but i do appreciate where your coming from
@stjimmy95 For christ sake your name is StJimmy95, therefor your comment about "Punk" is invalid if you bothered to take the time to name your account after Green Day. I mean seriously?
@stjimmy95 Just so you know, my dad was there when they found Yellow Cake Uranium; A substance used in making a certain type of WMD. But the media isn't going to let you know that, sense this country is out to destroy it's own morale.
@Humansnotnigs fair enought then..cant really argue withthat but well both media could do better for reputation and as could the military. but in a way its good not to have over supportive media.. the media in the us is pretty damn scary sometimes
imagine being in that pit with those soldiers. fuck

@sloshvictim Life on the line for what? Cheap oil, a million deaths and massive poverty for the Iraqi people? Sounds like a noble and just cause.
