i first went to a private, catholic school until the second grade. During my time there i received 14 demerits and got c's and d's in all of my classes because they graded with conduct in mind. That was before Concerta. My third grade year i started at a new school and i started taking concerta. Without this drug I wouldnt be where I am today. Now I am a high school senior in all honors AP classes with all A's and B's. Some may say concerta is poor parenting, but i believe it to be a life saver.
I also do like having ADD, and the fact is, it makes it difficult for you to work into society. I feel like it's more of a trait rather than a disability. wouldn't you? putting children on a derivative of meth (Ritalin) to make them focus in school is one of the worst things a parent can do in my eyes.
@kylemonkey I agree with you. Giving these young children forms of meth is horrible. I know this women who gave her kids "meth" for their ADD, years later her son got addicted to the actual drug. Now hes in jail, and he blames it on the ADD pills.
@kylemonkey Honestly i have ADD and im also on Concerta (like Ritalin but less potent and lasts 8 hours) i find it substantially helps me with my schoolwork, i started going on them last year sometime and all i fell is i zone out less and im more concentrated

I have ADHD yeah i find i difficult to concentrate but i wouldent be who i am without it

This video made me feel so much better. Today in algebra I just couldn't understand the lesson and I was so embarassed that I almost cried.
The problems are real but it is possible to function without medicine, because there are benefits to ADD.
