I love the fact the camera vehicle is actually faster than the 2 race vehicles. Every other video i've seen with a chase vehicle in it, it is slower, and you get no extra info from the chase vehicle, because it gets pulled away from to where you can't actually see the race. xD

The reason the viper won is because they got up to speed before actually starting the race. had they gone from a dead stop, the busa would have smoked the viper. also, the driver of the viper can complete the entire shift cycle in like .001 of a second...
The busa gains in the beginning do to being lighter. But when drag becomes a factor the viper has the raw power to push through it better than the busa. Simple physics. Viper is made for top speed, maby you didn't notice the rear defuser.

I agree that a 880+ viper is a NASTY force to be fucked with, I've ran nitrous funny cars that don't give you the same blinding acceleration that a decently tuned busa will. You can hear the "racing" busa start at the bottom of his rpm range. If the guy has a power commander III (like most modded busa's do) His second power band should be around 8000 rpm all the way to the red line at 14 or higher (assuming the engine was rebalanced after the over boar). The Hayabusa that set that record had a power to weight ratio of 1.272, it's kind of unbelievable. That particular bike has almost as much horsepower as the Viper in this video.

I didn't bring that Hayabusa into this conversation, but even then it wouldn't be nearly fair, that Hayabusa has over 600 horses. For that race to even be fair for the Viper, it would need at least 3,000 horsepower, with an automatic transmission.
Firstly, the Viper wouldn't get traction with 3,000 horses.. and Hayabusas have around 156 - 194 stock bhp depending on the year of manufacture. The dry weight of a normal Hayabusa is around 220kg so that makes a range of 709 - 882 bhp per tonne. The Viper on the other hand has 1000ps which is just under 1000hp and a stock weight I found is 1560kg, which makes it 641hp per tonne so its not that far of if its an early Hayabusa.
Just realised the Hayabusa is kicking 240hp (when the NOS is activated). I don't know how much weight it adds, say 12kg? That would make 1034hp per tonne.
No, you're completely WRONG, a stock Hayabusa that's pre 2001 without the limiter will maybe hit 202 in the right conditions, it's been done a few times. But that's only without the limiter.
A new Hayabusa is limited to 186.

Hyabusa 250kg - 280hp (1120hp per tonn!) + smaller size = less air pressure
Viper 1500kg - 1000hp (666hp per tonn) - Larger size = More air pressure Wheelie-bar on the Busa, and it would of smoked it.

@2URBO2 The only reason for that is Mass, car has more mass then the bike, so its momentum its greater than the bike. if car was same weight as bike, bike would go on further due to less friction and drag.

well, first thing is the powerband. the car actually has one, whereas the busa makes somewhere around 4hp under 9 trillion RPM.
then there's the gearing.
and then there's the fact that it's a lot easier to go faster in a car, as opposed to a motorcycle, where triple digit speeds are quite terrifying and no amount of gear can save you from being killed by an unusually large piece of gravel.
but hey, i'm sure you're super toughguy and can do 400 on your bike!

Does the bike rider really know how to race his bike. It's Suzuki Hayabusa with the best aerodynamics engineering. How can a shit Dodge Viper beat this greatest motorcycle of all the times. Dodge Viper is fast but not as fast as hayabusa. The rider of hayabusa in this video probably dosen't know how to ride and when to change gears and that is why he lost. I agree that a 880+ viper is a NASTY force to be fucked with, I've ran nitrous funny cars that don't give you the same blinding acceleration that a decently tuned busa will. You can hear the "racing" busa start at the bottom of his rpm range. If the guy has a power commander III (like most modded busa's do) His second power band should be around 8000 rpm all the way to the red line at 14 or higher (assuming the engine was rebalanced after the over boar). The guy doesn't race correctly. Nice vipr

Well I don't know for sure, the Hayabusa is stock isn't it? There's several versions of it, the Turbo busa with 500bhp and a turbo is the fastest! A dodge would never smoked that one!

@AreJay2006 heres some facts. the veyron, fastest production car ever produced, tops out at aboud 253 mph. the fastest viper, the ultimate aero tt, did 256 mph. a hayabusa did the maxton mile going 272 mph. however you slice it the hayabusa is faster

As for a stock vs. stock between the two, the Viper will fly right by once the race nears 190 mph.

Are you bringing 256 mph into it because of the Hayabusa that did 256 at Maxton Mile? If so, this Viper has a power to weight ratio of around 0.2934. The Hayabusa that set that record had a power to weight ratio of 1.272, it's kind of unbelievable. That particular bike has almost as much horsepower as the Viper in this video.

I didn't bring that Hayabusa into this conversation, but even then it wouldn't be nearly fair, that Hayabusa has over 600 horses. For that race to even be fair for the Viper, it would need at least 3,000 horsepower, with an automatic transmission.

Firstly, the Viper wouldn't get traction with 3,000 horses.. and Hayabusas have around 156 - 194 stock bhp depending on the year of manufacture. The dry weight of a normal Hayabusa is around 220kg so that makes a range of 709 - 882 bhp per tonne. The Viper on the other hand has 1000ps which is just under 1000hp and a stock weight I found is 1560kg, which makes it 641hp per tonne so its not that far of if its an early Hayabusa.

No, you're completely WRONG, a stock Hayabusa that's pre 2001 without the limiter will maybe hit 202 in the right conditions, it's been done a few times. But that's only without the limiter.
A new Hayabusa is limited to 186.
No stock Hayabusa has ever done 220 miles per hour.
So like I said, a Viper would just fly right by it once the race cracked 190 mph.
Do some research before you say stupid things such as that..

First: The follow bike is faster than the guy racing. Second: The guy driving the hayabusa has a lead but slows off a bit before they get to the finish line. I think this looks like a rigged race, but maybe the busa guy just don't like going over 150-160 :P
