i never said it never freezes and i know the batter is not very good, i just like it better than windows mobile, because it has like the flick scrolling, and the touch screen is more responsive, and i also like how you can buy apps, videos, and music right on the phone, if windows mobile had that then i would think it is better

automatic applications are applications that are automated. They do all the work for you...for example I can make my Xperia X1 or your Touch Pro reset every 3AM or make it automatically mute during my school schedule or install different alarm softwares unlike the iPhone. The iPhone is not automated because you can't install profile scheduler, 3rd party alarm clocks, and so on.

Do you know why? Well because these applications can run in the background.

Im sorry, but thats just wrong. Symbian, WebOS and Android can multitask just like WM. And there is nothing called "automated applications", and there is definitely nothing about WM that handles it better then any of the above OSes.

Don't be such a fool, ever heard of profile scheduler? It is automated. Ever heard of alarm software? It is automated.

I mean yeah iPhone has an alarm clock, but are you allowed to install 3rd party alarm clocks? I don't think so, unless you install that one application called "backgrounder"

Still though, iPhone only allows OS application to run in the background and only OS application to be automated such as the alarm clock.

Automated software works if you can leave it in the foreground.

Windows Mobile can actually look into the background processes and terminate them unlike any other OS. See what I mean? You have to realize that there are other applications running in WebOS for example, that you will never see, atleast not yet.

You have to realize that the home screen of WebOS is a running application. You have to realize that the OS itself is an application.

Can you terminate this process? No.

WebOS is has a great UI and a robust system, but it really lacks in user control more importantly applications. With time though, I think the Pre will become a viable option.

Symbian and WM really lack a decent UI. And WM is too sluggish and unstable to make a good user experience.

I do enjoy WebOS in that it merges both ease of use and full fledged functionality. What it lacks is that it is still a baby.

And yes WM is sluggish. And Symbian is like a windows mobile except it looks like a phone interface which makes it worst.

Well in regards to multi-tasking and background applications they work the same, but windows mobile is able to go deep into the running applications that aren't even visible in the standalone task manager.

I wasn't trying to offend the other OS's of their ability to multitask. I mean to point out the iPhone's major weakness.

Applications - if you work with a company that has Exchange - the connection is outstanding. The Office suite on the phone is second to known. There is a very deep offering of applications... the problem for WM is they are expensive and less are developing them due to the popularity of the Apple iPHone and Apples mafia control of the hardware and software (which can be a good thing... think success of the Xbox for Microsoft.)
