  • Brought to life so well! Thanks so much - Burns begs to be read out loud, which I can't properly do being born far far south of the border (Chile). My Nordic wife says it sounds a lot like Swedish - not inaccurate, given the origins of Scots.

  • I'm doing this at school :) proud of Scotland when this time comes around, also proud that I only live a few miles from where he was born/grew up

  • @ppponymad Me too I live In stranraer this is my other channel name.

  • the one and only tam.

  • "new new year" lol...john barleycorn ftw

love how only pure Scottish folk can dae tam o shanter and burns proud.

i used tae do the burns federal singing competition in primary i miss it.

I am now 14 and still lovin burns. English folk piss me off cos i got someone sayin tht am no speakin proper and i went bloody mental just cos am scottish they had a go at me.

  • @aimz4132 Come to America! We shall marvel at your accent and envy your cleverness!

  • @aimz4132 Well said mate, and i live in Alloway, you'd believe the storys when walking by the auld kirk.

  • that's pure magic by the way

  • Without doubt the best recital of my favourite poem. In a properly measured way that only a Scot blessed wi his own language, can gie us. Guffy`s needna bother. My flesh crawls at their clumsy attempts... Whits that pented face clown aw aboot?

The bard an aw the rest `o us allways could and can, see right through yer sham. CULTURE. Eye we`ve got one! Thanks tae The Bard for his immortal words and inspiration. He too could see the world in a grain of sand.

  • Mine own life's journey would have matched Guid Tam's - Cutty Sark's flanks would have - alas - taken my fancy,

and, well, Shew me a male human who would not feel the same and I'll show ye a failure at Life's Game! Ye who would hae felt o'erwise, Ye can Surfeit wi Ale..and Pies!!!

  • Wonderful.

  • THAT WIS GUID.

  • TOM FLEMING

  • Who is the reader?
