I'm not Muslim but I agree with this, or at the very least, understand it. Honestly, Vande Mataram needs to be edited or no longer called a "national song." Personally, I love the song, so I don't see the latter as an option.

Well, this is shameful to me that ppl from my community will do that. But during independence day, we refrain from playing Gandhi movement themed songs. On August 15 1947 I'd rather recite songs sung by the INDIAN NATIONAL ARMY.

But that's just me....
