  • I think u can get better cars for the money

  • @gohst9015 like which cars?

  • @Jamzkangster mustang gt u get a v8 for under 40k, camaro ss same thing, and i think the best outta all them if u wanna go around a track the 370z is better. I personally don't like this car but thats just my opinion.

  • Nice car Hyundai is doing things the right way.

  • Hyundai is really stepping their game up, I respect them now

  • Best performances for money.

  • the 2008-present Hyundai Genesis Coupe is assembled in

    Ulsan, South Korea

  • Tuscani was a way sexier name then Tiburon. its too bad that they named the successor the Genesis after the bland Sedan they've been building for a few years already..

  • 0-60mph in 5.5 secs wouuldn't be 13.5 in the quarter mile

  • @MaddDogg81 Not so great torque off the line, but quickens up after it gets going. This car packs quite a punch in midrange power.

  • yesss, this is my kinda car, no shitty spoilers you don't need in real life, no stupid graphics, no ridiculous added on features. All you need is a six speed transmission and a good car like this. These cars I believe are a little underrated in the midrange area. They seem to have more horsepower than 305 or around 260ish to the rear wheels.

  • @zznwea the tau 5.0 does .. it's actually narrower than the 4.6

  • For this I respect Hyundai/Kia

  • It does do 14-flat. Motorweek is known to have runs done that are always a bit quicker (maybe a really good driver or bad timing equipment?) than ones in the magazines lol

  • thumbs up for the long-haired oriental test driver.

  • Great Review. I have a 2011 R-SPEC. Pretty much everything he is saying is spot on. The car is very fast once it gets going. Fantastic Brakes and handling even without lowering or the Camber Bolts installed.A real head turner too as people ask me what it is all the time since they are so rare. The only thing I dont like is the car is extremely wide so it barely fits in my garage. Actually just as wide as a VETTE which shows you how serious the GENESIS is as a handling car.The car ROCKS.

  • i thought this thing did low 14s

  • @camaroman101 You'd think a car with this kind of power and torque could do 1/4-mile in14-flat all day long. But not with a 33mpg highway rating. If it weren't geared for fuel economy it would be quicker off the line. From a roll it's still a quick motha.

  • @DroverChicago see 3:18. it did the 1/4 in 13.5! i was surprisingly sadn'd now knowing one more car that is faster than my 95 z28

  • @camaroman101 Oh shit -- for some reason I thought this was the video for the Sonata turbo I watched earlier..

Anyway, the Genesis Coupe V6 is a little bruiser, a poor man's G37. Though if I were spending someone else's money and not my own, I'd still get the G37.

  • 19th

  • I'd love to see a review of the 2.0t R-spec, considering it should be the same except for the engine, is it still fun to drive without the power?

  • So you are telling me that Motorweek got a faster 0-60 in this than they did with a 2011 STI? How many different drivers do you have?

  • @aarikc17 10 different stigs?

  • @2fast4all the one that drove the sti must have been James May, lol

  • 15th

  • Kinda wished the interior quality of these matched that of the sedan sine what you get in the coupe is a step down.... Would've been sweet if the got creative & actually fitted the Tau 4.6L V8 or the 5.0L version this way it would better compete against Mustang, Camaro, & Challenger

  • That's the first time I heard of removing the cruse control to save weight. I thought that was done in the computer.

  • now its time to put the 420hp v-8 in it:)

  • Thanks for the great review. Really love john davis, the way he narrates.

  • this car needs more low end torque. pulse plugs should raise power and torque by a bit. i think this r spec should com with a aem intake as stock

  • whatever happen to the 4B11/Theta II 2.0 liter

  • Genesis Coupe FTMTFW!!!!!!!

  • I still can't belive this is the same guy that has been doing MotorWeek since the 80s... he's a great reviewer.

  • @datpimpinboy Yeah and it doesn't look like he's slowed down much if at all. I use to watch him on Sundays when I was about knee high to a grass hopper and when the top tv tech was 19" CRT.

The tester guy looked like he was going to steal the car. :D

  • @supercooled LOL I know right, he looks almost the same except for maybe different hair color, and he sounds the same and he's reviews are still as good if not better! lol and I who wouldnt want to take a car like this home? :P

  • fucking sucks that canada doesn't get the r spec version...

  • @vintimv001 its bc is Canada

  • @vintimv001 there are cars you guys dont get, last time i was there i was at the Toyota dealer i asked this salesman for a Avalon and he said "oh we dont have that car here, u have to order it" i mean, if some1 wants at least to see it or drive it in order to buy it, you cant...

  • I don't get why Hyundai won't put the DI turbo 4 from the Sonata/Optima in this car.

  • @TwinTurbo916 STFU. Nobody gives a fucking fuck if you were "1st."

  • @DroverChicago hahaha i knew one of you fuckers would ay something like that. I did it for the hell of it what can i say i was bored n no you STFU. Stop being a ignorant serious piece of shit.
