  • It's so true, actions affect the world. Change starts within hearts no matter how little, it grows slowly--clears the path to a greater good. Come see my latest if you like: CHANGE - "Will You Dance With Me?" ♥

  • Your video is the perfect length. I agree apathy is destructive. From what I can tell it leads to depression. Everyone needs to care about something.

  • hell yeah 420

  • This is a great vid and message! You have a strong and compassionate spirit. Thanks for sharing your words.

  • I like you freesouljah.

You speak from experience of lessons learned in life and seem to be passing that along to others. This is good. A humble soul walks a familiar world.

We have much in common my friend.

    Take care.

  • kindness and manners. that is the start..... you are right. it grows from there.

somewhere along the line rudeness became cool. we can turn that around!

  • you can use windows movie maker to do many of the things I do in my vids...right now I am using sony vegas, prior to that I used pinnacle, and before that I used MGI....I guess I have had a decent amount of practice as well... 8P

  • truly...the thing is, it takes a collective people to go up against the concept of war...because it is something that has been going on for far too long...so it is going to take a massive effort...the same with ending hunger...it is going to take a massive effort...but I think if people were more aware of how their actions work in the world, they wouldn't shy away from those movements...

  • It was a huge tragedy affecting three communities,(another teacher was also killed in the same incident.) Some of my former classmates and I decided to do this for our 25th reunion in the spring. (we can't party like rock stars any more...well, some still can, but not me!)Peace and Love

  • at least you can turn it into something positive, by making it something more than just a tragedy...

partying like a rock star can be a lot of fun...too bad you can't do it any more... 8D

  • You're right man..kindness is contagious!

  • Exactly right. great response. I was in a discussion about life the other day and i asked one person if he cut down the small tree we were sitting under, would it make a difference, and he said no. Its important to know that even a smile shared in the street makes more of a difference than you think, and then apply that to every aspect of your life.

  • how did you respond to that person? what did you say?

  • Well he kind of threw me off balance because we were having quite a deep discussion up untill that point and he was throwing in many interesting ideas.. but we went on to talk about the energys we share with our environment and the need for us to reconnect with those energys. PEace

  • if that is the case, then why would he say it wouldn't make a difference? you guys were sitting under it for a reason, at least I would think so...shade, I suppose?

  • Exactly, thats why it was kind of an oddball comment, a few people called him on that. I personaly still don't know why he said it..

  • hmmm...maybe testing the waters... :/

  • respect free-soul-jah

  • I've been trying to channel my anger at our current administration in a positive way. I've thrown myself into a fundraising project for a scholarship in the name of my former fourth grade teacher who was tragically murdered last fall as she set up her classroom. I feel I have to keep being positive and work harder to increase the peace through my daily actions. Love, Suzy

  • yeah, it is a good idea to steer that energy into a positive direction...because it can so easily turn the other way...

that is terrible about the grade school teacher...what a horrible situation for everybody involved... 8(

  • Waht a GOOD guy. Sorry I cn't come up with any better adjective than that.... I know this is gonna border on freakyness but I so wish you were my dad. LOL I woulda turned out alot better person. I'm not bad but I woulda been a saint otherwise. Never stop the good work soldier! x

  • that is probably the best compliment EVER... 8D

I often wonder what kind of father I would be...I think it would be a lot of fun to teach a youngster the little beauties of life... 8D

    thank you man...

  • soulja 2 SouljaH, after our conversation last time about dissent & whatnot, I thought of you when I watched an awesome documentary on The Weathermen Underground, a group of radical hippies during Vietnam. It opened my eyes alot. Also, really important: Elie Weisel, holocaust survivor who is brilliant, & says: indifference IS VIOLENCE. you will really like him my friend. peaceEveryDay.

  • yeah, I saw a special on cnn with elie weisel and oprah...it was a few years back...but he certainly had a lot of wise things to say...

what was the documentary about the weathermen...I would be interested in checking that out...I know of them, but have never seen any film about them...

    thanks bro

  • aw man it's just crazy! On; jihadlovestoyota's channel, ~The Weathermen Underground.~ 9 part series of raw footage from the late 60s/ 70s of these really intense kids who hook up with the Panthers and raise serious hell on Nixon. It also talks to all of them now (from their prisons...) their hindsight & insight is ineffably poignant & timely. When there's a draft, we'll see people wakin' up and smelling the poison. awesome history lesson. enjoy & let me know what u think.

  • cool man, thanks...I was first introduced to them because of the rage against the machine song 'take the power back'...

I will let you know what I think of the doc... 8D

  • LOL. After the fourth time watching the vidoes, think I get what you're tryig to sayt> :P

  • sweet...sometimes it takes a while for me too...I am glad it is making sense to you now... 8D

  • Hi freesouljah. I saw your video from before. It's talking about changing apathy. What are we trying to change? Being apathetic doesn't help, but what are we trying to change?

  • It is a daunting task, what ever we're trying to change. I think it's important to have focus, where ever we're trying to go.

  • Sorry to ramble on, I've had too much too drink tonight. :P

  • no worries man...no worries...

  • you have to choose what you want to change...with the change campaign we are trying to change apathy to action...to get people away from the idea of doing nothing and into the reality that what they do makes a difference...
