@AkaiAzul interesting, I wasn't aware using Zero decreases your chance of success. I got everything but the shuttle still failed, so I thought that this was supposed to happen, but then I got this ending and knew I was missing something.

i think maybe the reason zero does most of the heroic stuff and etc. is because he was suppose to be the main character of megaman x. (read the megaman megamix manga, in the extras keiji inafune says that zero was the new megaman "In Mega Man X, there is a new character named Zero, and the truth is that he is the new Mega Man as far as i'm concerned." is what he says)

@ZigTheHunter The X series was planned to end on MMX5, that's why 'most' die-hard fans say there is a slope from x5 on and others say x6 it's not cannon. But then some managment swap happened and we have a few new half-baked X. As for the zero series i have no idea.

As much as I loved the gameplay of X6 and some of the storyline, I do agree that this one made a much better ending. I think it would've been better if X5 and X6 were swapped with each other by title, and have this be the final chapter in the series.

@fatalfury28 Actually Megaman X6 wasn't meant to be developed. Keiji Inafune (the director), wanted this to be Zero's final game in this series--supposedly leading to Megaman Zero, I don't know the full story on that matter though.
As for Megaman X6, some of the staff (without the director!) went ahead and made the game anyways. Zero coming back in that game was some seriously poorly-explained bullshit but we were happy he came back. Too bad the game was terribly designed.
I like the way x 5 explains the ending better than the beginning of x6. i think 3 years after makes more sense cuz only 3 weeks a blown in half zero with a hole in his chest found a new body? No. Just no. it dont work like that. Three years sounds better.

the blue figure was Dr. Light, the theme is the ONLY way to know as the theme plays in MMX1 when Dr. Light is talking through a capsule to give you armour.
@CombatArms1st That's because in this game X didn't explode, he is still barely alive but he IS alive. Aside from Zero in MMZ4, he literally died on the Ragnarok. The giant thing exploded and all what was left was his helmet in the ending scene.
This game may should be ended with X6, Ending of Zero, when he sleeps for..200 years I think,then, well, starts MMZ. But for some stupid reason, they made X7 and X8... And well, Who Knows waht happens later...
I had heard a rumor, that before Capcom made X6, and Inafune was planning the Zero series, THIS is the ending that he had decided to be canon. He originally meant for the real X to be the main enemy of Zero 1, and having X's memory of Zero wiped during this ending is what he used to explain that.

But no, Capcom likes to milk their franchises at the expense of crappy story lines. Just take a look at Resident Evil.
Zero didn't kill MegaMan even didn't know him, he was created then put in animated suspension like X.He awakes up destroying Sigma team and nealry killing Sigma himself before the Virus reatec, avoiding him of hurting Sigma any further, then Sigma took the chance to hit Zero in the "W" then getting the Virus From Zero.The rest is history.
@antonioo498 is Dr. Light he is the only one that knows X, and in Megaman X Mavrick Hunter we saw that Dr.Light had an ideal of robots and X is the only one that can make that posible well thats my idea of the hole series
I know this Ending. The Blue Figure is Doctor light. the only person who can repair and alter X's Memory. the way to get this ending is by letting Zero get infected by the Sigma Virus and X has to stop him which in the end he damages him so much that he must use his own body to protect X after the fight.

Z's Ciel (french for "heaven"), posible originator of Heaven in DASH/Legends 2 and seems to be implied as related to the last 'human' in Heaven (the Master).
ZX's Masters seems to be implied as related to the Master in Heaven, and the reset seems to resemble the reawakening of humanity program in DASH 2.
This version of X5's ending should have been true. X5 should have been the last X game, Zero is repaired in Megaman Zero and Copy X is replaced with original X. That way instead of Zero fighting an old friend he fights someone he barely remembers, and X doesn't remember Zero at all so he thinks he was a traitor. Would have been dark.

@fatalfury28 Actually Megaman X6 wasn't meant to be developed. Keiji Inafune (the director), wanted this to be Zero's final game in this series--supposedly leading to Megaman Zero, I don't know the full story on that matter though.
As for Megaman X6, some of the staff (without the director!) went ahead and made the game anyways. Zero coming back in that game was some seriously poorly-explained bullshit but we were happy he came back. Too bad the game was terribly designed.

I like the way x 5 explains the ending better than the beginning of x6. i think 3 years after makes more sense cuz only 3 weeks a blown in half zero with a hole in his chest found a new body? No. Just no. it dont work like that. Three years sounds better.

@xBlackxZerox Technically X5 was supposed to link up with Zero1 since zero was supposed to die in x5 and then found in zero1 and revived but capcom made more additions and horribly screwed everything up. Although the creator of the zero series did go without linking it to anything past x5... until later games :(

@CombatArms1st That's because in this game X didn't explode, he is still barely alive but he IS alive. Aside from Zero in MMZ4, he literally died on the Ragnarok. The giant thing exploded and all what was left was his helmet in the ending scene.

I had heard a rumor, that before Capcom made X6, and Inafune was planning the Zero series, THIS is the ending that he had decided to be canon. He originally meant for the real X to be the main enemy of Zero 1, and having X's memory of Zero wiped during this ending is what he used to explain that.

What i like about the X series,is that none of the endings are wrong,all of the endings shows a little secret about Megaman's storyline,for example,"Elysium" is on Megaman Legends 2...and it shows that Dr.Light is truly alive,even if he is in an "spirit" form...

Imagine how good the story to Megaman would really be if this ending was the true one, ending it at X5, making X the villain of the Zero series, and Zero was actually the one who killed the original Megaman.
But no, Capcom likes to milk their franchises at the expense of crappy story lines. Just take a look at Resident Evil.

Zero didn't kill MegaMan even didn't know him, he was created then put in animated suspension like X.He awakes up destroying Sigma team and nealry killing Sigma himself before the Virus reatec, avoiding him of hurting Sigma any further, then Sigma took the chance to hit Zero in the "W" then getting the Virus From Zero.The rest is history.

I know this Ending. The Blue Figure is Doctor light. the only person who can repair and alter X's Memory. the way to get this ending is by letting Zero get infected by the Sigma Virus and X has to stop him which in the end he damages him so much that he must use his own body to protect X after the fight.

Not really, the ties still exist in Z and ZX.
Z's Ciel (french for "heaven"), posible originator of Heaven in DASH/Legends 2 and seems to be implied as related to the last 'human' in Heaven (the Master).
ZX's Masters seems to be implied as related to the Master in Heaven, and the reset seems to resemble the reawakening of humanity program in DASH 2.

This version of X5's ending should have been true. X5 should have been the last X game, Zero is repaired in Megaman Zero and Copy X is replaced with original X. That way instead of Zero fighting an old friend he fights someone he barely remembers, and X doesn't remember Zero at all so he thinks he was a traitor. Would have been dark.
