when chrome opens, it opens chrome task manager, and the 1'st tab as 2 processes (chrome.exe appears twice in win task manager). when you open a second tab, another process is made. The process manager hardly does anything so that literally cant crash. If it does though, you do loose allyour tabs :'(
I think the best part of these tutorials is that google owns youtube and yet these are the only videos I've seen which take forever to buffer WAY tO GO GOOGLE
changed this video or something because none of your comments make any sense... ah snap what? (big earl fan or sumtin).....what "amazing" certainly not chrome...these tuts suck
To tell the truth? I have no idea. Someone on my favorite forum (NSider2) posted it and I tried it, discovering that it actually worked. It's probably a coding error, or a Code itself. I'm going to experiment and see if there are any more codes that do anything.
Curiously, the only way I found to make Chrome hang is by viewing YouTube. The flash player plugin hangs the whole appl, not just the tab. And if I kill the chrome.exe process that is thrashing, all the other chrome.exe processes come down with it. So much for stability.
You all should know, googles license agreement for chrome, that most people don't read, states that all content posted through chrome is copyright by google. Even your own pictures videos and music, it's all completely free to use by google in any way they want. So i wouldnt post any youtube videos through it, go through another browser for that.
I think, it's not too good. A webpage ca't crash really. Really, that can be much more slower. Our browser (July) tries to view it, AND it can repair it, too. It's not too new.
I sorta find this misleading... When one of my tabs hog my entire memory (Mainly Youtube and Flash Player) I can't even access the Chrome task manager. I have to literally end the entire browser when it freezes up.

What?? Task Managers only make sense when run inside the operating system. All modern OSes already have task managers. It doesn't make any sense for a program running ontop of an OS to have its own task manager. This feature should only be available for EEEPCs and those cloud computing things
The task manager within the OS will affect the entire browser whereas the task manage with chrome will only affect the tab you end. That way you can still use all of your tabs and the browser itself if one tab becomes unresponsive.
Oh yeah? well Walt Mossberg of the Wall Street Journal says,
"The third big principle behind Chrome is that each tab runs, under the hood, as a separate browser. Tabs can be dragged off the main browser and turned into separate windows. If one tab crashes, the rest of the browser keeps running. But this doesn't work perfectly. In my tests, all of Chrome died on me when I tried watching an Olympics video on the NBC site."

WhaaaT?? What do you need a task manager for? YOu already got one in your operating system. A task manager is only needed INSIDE the operating system anyway, not in programs running ON IT.
No, when you run Chrome, it runs multiple instances of chrome.exe in Windows XP, which you can see by pressing CTRL ALT DEL to look at Windows' task manager. This is the way that pre-ie7 Internet Explorer worked.
Right, I think it's a cloud computing thing. The idea is that, maybe in the future, most of the computing will be done from the server side, which will require full-blown operating systems on their part, and home "PCs" will be much more limited than they are today and have been since they were introduced.

Hey, Google, in Chrome, if you type ":%", then Chrome will crash before the "%" sign even appears.
Just wanted to share that.
Also, I like Chrome, but I wish it had a bit more features, and I also wish it'd display pages better.

multiple instances of chrome.exe + low internet flow PLUS windows task manager
i guess google wanna do it all :D
