@bodman4004 Well Kmart doesnt Price match anymore I just found out. Best Buy should have taken it. Target I'm not sure about. Walmart on the other hand should Price match w/o an ad, but I would bring one anyway.
Especially for the fact that Gamestop is running it again at the $29.99 Price for the PC vers. Run out to a gas station or local store and get a copy of the Sunday paper and see if Gamestops ad is in there, if not The Weekly ad is still on their site for you to print it out. Good Luck,

I took the gamestop ad and the coupon to walmart and they were saying i could either have the gamestop price or the coupon, but not both!!!! And something strange happened. When the lady scanned the coupon, instead of taking of $25, it prompted her to input an amount. Very weird. But in the end i decided if i wasn't gonna get it for $15, i wasn't going to get it at all (ps3 version).

If you try this, try to do it when a manager is not around. The coupon has some issue scanning and a unknowing clerk would probably just type in the discount.

@fosterizzle The wrong date doesn't make it fake. I just pulled the link down because I anyone can find it just like I did. Also another thing that leads me to still believe its legit is that I found other stores are running the same Promo except they just take the $25 off at the register w/o a coupon. At this point I still don't know for sure whether or not its Real or Fake, since mine was scanned in by a Manager and they said yes its a Legit Manufacturers coupon thats good enough for me. Enjoy
@jurassicsushi The guy I talked to said it's been around for the better part of the past year, and started from a legit coupon that was out when Portal 2 was in pre-order status. He said since then people had been Photoshopping new dates and new info on it. At Best Buy the customer service rep had a printout of the coupon sitting on his counter when I walked up, with FAKE written in red sharpie. Sure, it doesn't "prove" it, but it leads me to believe it's just tampering with an old legit one.

@bredbu what is 4 Chan first of all and the coupon is legit. It was validated by more than one Walmart, Best Buy and Kmart. I and many others have gotten their copies of the game + even Gamestop said its a good coupon but they can't take the coupon and use it on the sale item at the same time due to restrictions of the system not allowing more than 50% off of any one item. It has to be either or. I did not get this coupon personally from Valve I Googled Portal 2 coupon & shared where i found it.

Also coupons with bar-codes have to be manually inserted into the system with every other item in the store that they are selling for both online and in store sales. Thats ridiculous. Are you sure they called Valve? Were they on speaker phone? I honestly can't believe this happened. I am going back on Wednesday to get 2 more copies, I will see what they say this time.

They will promote something really big and expect people to advertise for them for free as in "Word of Mouth" advertising. They made / Make a lot of money off of this game with all the preorders and steam sales. I guarantee you this game will go on sale again during the holidays as Valve has not disappointed in the past with this same tactic. Just like Left 4 Dead.
@jurassicsushi Hey Just letting you know my Walmart did let me but first I had to try 1 Walmart which said I needed the actual ad, then Gamestop just to try but didn't work, then went through 15 min of managers checking the validity of the coupon. I got the PS3 version for $17.69 with tax. Thanks so much!
@jtinch94 I really don't think it's a bogus coupon, I think it's the amount that is catching the managers off guard. The coupon can be scanned which means that it was manually inputted into the system like all other Bar codes for products are. People are Super Skeptics but I can't blame them thats why I made the video to show everyone me in the actual store buying it and the register price. Internet coupons should be legible and say “Manufacturer Coupon.” There should be a valid remit address for the manufacturer and a scannable bar code. <----Which there is.
Only one coupon per item is permitted. <---Separate the orders solves that.

The manufacturer's coupon is also a legit coupon. They had to ring my orders one at a time and i gave them 2 separate coupons for each order. Also they even scanned the coupons and they show up on the receipt. I don't know wth is going on at that store. My friend said his wife went by Best Buy on her way home and they also honored the deal.

This is deff an illegal coupon that someone made and posted on 4 chan. Did you get this portal 2 coupon from valve.com.... I doubt it. I would take this video down before u get in trouble

@bredbu what is 4 Chan first of all and the coupon is legit. It was validated by more than one Walmart, Best Buy and Kmart. I and many others have gotten their copies of the game + even Gamestop said its a good coupon but they can't take the coupon and use it on the sale item at the same time due to restrictions of the system not allowing more than 50% off of any one item. It has to be either or. I did not get this coupon personally from Valve I Googled Portal 2 coupon & shared where i found it.

so... according to the rep at Walmart, who called the MFG when I presented the coupon, the coupon is NOT valid.
also, Walmart requires you to have the ACTUAL ad, not a printed version from home.

@ozt1ks What! They scanned my coupons in and they went through with no problems. I have the games and the receipts to prove it. Also coupons with bar-codes have to be manually inserted into the system with every other item in the store that they are selling for both online and in store sales. Thats ridiculous. Are you sure they called Valve? Were they on speaker phone? I honestly can't believe this happened. I am going back on Wednesday to get 2 more copies, I will see what they say this time.

We do not require the customers to have the ad with them to honor a competitor’s ad.
Items purchased must be identical to the ad (size, quantity, brand, flavor, color etc.)

@haohaohayashi They are the ones who distributed the coupon. It's a small promotional tactic that a lot of business's use. They will promote something really big and expect people to advertise for them for free as in "Word of Mouth" advertising. They made / Make a lot of money off of this game with all the preorders and steam sales. I guarantee you this game will go on sale again during the holidays as Valve has not disappointed in the past with this same tactic. Just like Left 4 Dead.

@jurassicsushi Hey Just letting you know my Walmart did let me but first I had to try 1 Walmart which said I needed the actual ad, then Gamestop just to try but didn't work, then went through 15 min of managers checking the validity of the coupon. I got the PS3 version for $17.69 with tax. Thanks so much!

@jtinch94 I really don't think it's a bogus coupon, I think it's the amount that is catching the managers off guard. The coupon can be scanned which means that it was manually inputted into the system like all other Bar codes for products are. People are Super Skeptics but I can't blame them thats why I made the video to show everyone me in the actual store buying it and the register price. Only one coupon per item is permitted. <---Separate the orders solves that.

@TheScrewable Tell them to Call Gamestop and ask them if they are running a Weekly ad for portal 2. Then they will see you are not lying about the ad. The manufacturer's coupon is also a legit coupon. They had to ring my orders one at a time and i gave them 2 separate coupons for each order. Also they even scanned the coupons and they show up on the receipt. I don't know wth is going on at that store. My friend said his wife went by Best Buy on her way home and they also honored the deal.
