Wow I never expected to see Pop Poppins on You Tube. They just popped in my head so I thought, "why not see if they might be on here?" Wala! Great band, I got to know them pretty well in the late 90's back in Wichita Falls, Texas. They played at a club called 1024 AD or something like that. My old band back then was called Tribal Discontent. We were from Altus, Oklahoma just up the road from Wichita, and we ran in the same circles as Bruce and the guys. Great group of guys!
Are they still playing together? I haven't thought of them in years. I saw them one night in Deep Elum in Dallas back in '96 after I went to see my friends band open for them. (Head West) Anyway, they've been in the back of my mind since then. The website is up, but doesn't seem current. Do you have any info?
I talked to the guitarist one night at a club in Arlington. He was doing side project. His brother was the bass player, hes a profesional somewhere making good money, and the singer is doing paintings books and still some music recordings in England. He lives in some small town in east texas. Theres no way they will get back together. If you so to the singers website he has some cool old cds to sell and basically thats it.
