@Fernando666Moretto slaughter of the soul from ATG is among the best melodic death metal albums of all time for me. and new in flames sucks, i agree. but the old stuff is amazing. also check out The Haunted (its melodic death but kind of sounds like thrash metal at times) it's the old members of at the gates that made that band. amazing riffs!! and yea. you can consider dethklok in there i guess. it's close enough. but nathan explosion himself calls his own music death metal. and Kalmah >> COB

BDM call themselves melodic death (I'd think they'd know what they're talking about) and are influenced by swedish melo death bands (i.e. at the gates, in flames)
