first off, a guy cant go through high school on snare, and not have the ability to read music,

secondly, if he was in a high school marching band, wouldnt he already know how to march and play,

third of all, college drumlines are soposed to be way better than this shit that im hearing, everything is dirty, the rolls, just everything, even the most simple things they play is bullshit.

The first tap off is from the Blue Devils, and that tap off is featured in one of the cadences, I have the MP3, they call it "Cadence #2". The first Cadence Morris Brown is playing is called "Destruction", one of their many classic dirty cadences. Morris Brown is loud and ugly sounding, like a good variation of other college level marching bands.

If you are in a drumline, then you know how hard it is it play all these cadences, and doing the visual, including throwing your stick in the air and catching it without dropping it the entire time. That adds tons of pressure.

It's all in the opinion of the judges. Personally I like Morris Brown best. I like the cleaness, and their precise playing stile. I'm not that big a fan of stick tricks. (Other than backsticking of course) A&T's show stile is cool, but not my thing. :)

These bands aren't about precision. They're just a whole lot of fun to watch. People get up and dance when these types of bands play. Sure, bands like the Cavaliers and Blue Devils are clean and tight but they cater to a whole different type of audience. It's like comparing a funk band to an orchestra.
